You: Hey :)
Jackson: Hey (Y/N).
You: So, we've been talking for a while and we get along pretty well in school. I just wanted to know, do you maybe,
sorta,
kinda,
wanna go out with me?Jackson: I'm sorry. I'm not looking to be in a relationship.
You: It's fine, I totally understand. I hope things aren't awkward between us now?
Jackson: Yeah. It cool :)
You put down the phone and sighed. Rejected. The one word you've grown so close to. He probably was gonna go and find someone else. Maybe your classmate, Brenda or maybe your ex friend, Glory. It wouldn't be the first time someone's done that to you. You held your breath to try and stop the tears from coming. You weren't even sad. Your mind was fine, but your heart didn't hurt one bit.
You were just numb.
"Stupid heart, stupid boys, stupid emotions." You muttered angrily, standing up. You grabbed your phone and texted your best friend, Andy.
You: I'm coming over, make sure you got all your scary movie comedies.
Andy: Oh shit. Who hurt you?
You: I promise I'll explain everything when I see you. Bye <3
You walked to Andy's house and knocked on his door. When he opened it, he pulled you into a big hug.
"I'm so sorry." He sighed.
"You don't even know what happened." You chuckled sadly.
"I can take a guess. Jackson?"
"Damn, what are you? Psychic?" You muttered walking inside.
"So it was him?" Andy asked following you.
"Yeah whatever." You grabbed the bowl of popcorn and sat on the couch. Andy sat next to you.
"(Y/N), we need to talk about this. Especially since what happened with Charlie." Andy said. You glared at him.
"Why are you even bringing up Charlie? He was so two years ago (A/N: True story bro)." You growled.
"Because (Y/N), that was the first time I'd ever seen you cry. He said he would think about it and then two days later, he's dating the school slut (A/N: True story bro)!" Andy explained.
"Andy, I understand you're concerned, but I'm fine!"
"I just, I hate seeing you get your heart broken by guys who don't deserve it."
"Then who does deserve it?"
"Me! (Y/N), I know everything about you, but then again, I'm sure there's some things I don't know. I want to take the time to know you in a different relationship. I don't want anymore of this friendship. I want to be with you." You stopped and looked at the seriousness in Andy's eyes. You always did see him as potential boyfriend material, but, even know, you never knew how to say it.
"Come on (Y/N), say something!" Andy pleaded. You did the only thing you could think of. You pulled him close to you and kissed him softly. When you pulled back, Andy looked pleasantly confused.
"I'll take that as a yes?" He asked. You nodded your head and he hugged you. Rejected. A word you would never have to hear again, at least not in the romance department.
