Today was the day. The day you'd finally meet your dad. Your mother had been telling you stuff about him and he sounded really interesting. Although you were 14 and never met him, you didn't feel angry at him. He probably had a good reason for staying out of your life.
"(Y/N)! Come downstairs. Your dad's here." Your mother said. You ran down the stairs to see a man with black hair and eyes like yours.
"Daddy?" You asked.
"Uhh, yeah, yeah I'm your dad. "He said. You smiled and hugged him tightly.
"I-I can't believe I'm actually meeting you. This has been my dream for- for years. You're just how I imagined you." You sobbed into his shirt. Pete held a small look of confusion in his face.
"Come on Pete, just say hi." Your mom smiled. Pete laughed and gave a smile that had happiness. Maybe having a kid isn't so bad.
