It was just Kobe, Max and Puss outside of Shrek and Fiona's bedroom. Kobe looked up at the window before looking at Puss who was facing down at the ground.
" You know your owner seems really cranky." Puss told Kobe and Max.
" He's just unhappy about the incident in the ballroom." Kobe told him.
" Also being a king is the only thing that seems to be bugging him at the moment." Max said. Puss got up and looked at Kobe confused.
" Why did you try to defend me from getting tossed out the window Seniorita?" Puss asked Kobe.
" Well Max and I didn't want you to be alone so that's why." Kobe told the male cat as she blushed. Puss raised an eyebrow at her before he brushed it off as if it was nothing.
Kobe felt concerned about something. It wasn't Shrek she was concerned about. She was concerned about whether she wants to tell Puss about her miserable past.
" Puss can I tell you something?" Kobe asked the male cat.
" Um yeah." Puss said as he walked over and sat down next to Kobe.
Max looked up at his best friend with worry as he knew that she was going to tell Puss about what happened to her.
" Well when I was a little kitten, I used to live with my mom in a vet. Well except the bad news was that she passed away." Kobe told him as she felt tears in her eyes. Puss looked at her shocked as he felt bad for what happened to her mom.
" How did that happen?" Puss asked her.
" Well she's been really sick for months and the vets couldn't do anything to make her feel better so they had to put her down." Kobe responded with tears coming her face. Puss gasped.
" Well luckily my brother Georgie's still alive." She continued.
" Where was your papa?" Puss asked the female cat with concern.
" I never met my dad before or don't remember seeing him." Kobe told him.
" Anyways after my mom died, me and my brother Georgie were taken to this animal shelter like it was an orphanage except it was a nightmare come true." Kobe narrated before she stopped.
" What do you mean?" Puss asked her.
" Well, Georgie and I were separated from each other as I was with the special cats since I'm pretty autistic. Nobody liked me. They would say things like 'Oh you're so ugly.', 'Nobody likes you.', ' You're such an infant trapped inside a young adult cat's body.' and they would beat me up at lunch everyday and... and..." Kobe managed to say before her lips started quivering and more tears came down her eyes.
Puss scooched closer to the poor cat and she hugged him, sobbing into his chest. Puss wrapped his arms around the sad cat and patted her on the back telling her it was alright.
" Why do people pick on others Puss?" Kobe asked him while crying still. They let go of each other and Puss stood up in front of her facing down.
" It's how it is. Also I have a story of my own to tell." Puss told the female cat.
" Oh okay. Max and I are all ears." Kobe said as she wiped the tears away. The little gecko rolled his eyes as he was ready for a story.
" Let's hear about how you became a hitman!" Max jokingly whispered to himself which caused Kobe to quickly turn her head towards him with a nasty glare.
" I can hear you!" She whispered to Max angrily
" I'm just kidding." Max read her mind before they locked eyes with Puss as started to tell his story.
After telling his story, the two best friends looked at the male cat shocked of what he's been through.
" I'm sorry to hear about Humpty Alexander Dumpty, Puss." Kobe apologized while looking at Puss sadly.
" It's alright. He had to sacrifice his life to save a baby goose. Humpty's always on my mind." Puss reminded her.
" So you had a girlfriend named Kitty Softpaws?" Kobe asked the male cat.
" Yes but at least you never fell asleep to my story about how I met Humpty just like she did." Puss said as both of the cats giggled.
" Where is she now?" Kobe asked him.
Puss looked at the two best friends and said " Well we haven't seen each other in a long time. Also things were pretty complicated between us."
" Also at least you and the gecko still have each other." Puss said.
" And at least you made some new friends around this place." Kobe said with a smile on her face. Puss chuckled when she said that. Max chuckled as well. Kobe continued her story about how she met Max and Shrek. He was shocked to hear all of that. Kobe felt like saying something else.
" Hey um... Puss?" Kobe asked which caused the male cat to look at her. She wanted to tell Puss that she loves him but couldn't say it.
" Oh nothing." Kobe managed to say as she was still embarrassed to tell him.
Puss looked at her with a raised eyebrow before brushing it off again while Max facepalmed at Kobe saying nothing. She looked down with a sigh.
" I thought you were gonna tell him!" Max snapped softly at his best friend.
" I'm just afraid he'll reject me if I tell him I love him." Kobe whispered back to Max. The gecko felt guilty right away for snapping at his best friend.
" I'm sorry buddy." Max apologized softly looking guilty.
" Don't worry about it booboo." Kobe whispered back as she gave him a head nuzzle. Everything was pure silent until the window bursted open. It was Fiona but she was crying. The two cats and gecko looked up at her confused.
" What's going on?" Kobe asked the sad princess.
" My father's dying!" Fiona cried out to them.
" WHAT?!!" The three animals shouted in exclaim.
