(Time skip)
The boat cut through the open sea. Arthur smiled as he watched Worcestershire shrinking away on the horizon. Max was standing by a barrel next to him on the docks while Kobe was on the other side thinking about something." I can't believe it... me a King? I... I mean I knew I came from royalty and all, but I just figured everyone forgot about me." The boy said to Max in disbelief. The gecko just smiled and they both looked to sea.
" Oh no, in fact, the King asked for you personally." Shrek told the kid. Artie smiled when he said that.
" Really? Wow! Look, I know it's not gonna be fun and games." Arthur stated.
" It really is all fun and games actually. Sure, you have to knight a few heroes, launch a ship or two. By the way, make sure you hit the bottle just right with the bottle." Shrek explained.
" Boat with the bottle? Any idiot can hit a boat with a bottle." Arthur stated. Shrek chuckled sheepishly.
" Well, I've heard it's harder than it looks." Shrek pointed out.
" That's right." Max said in agreement.
" Whoa!! This is gonna be huge. Parties, princesses, castles... princesses." Arthur said in disbelief. While the males were talking to Arthur about how fun it's gonna be for him back in the kingdom. Max turned his head to see Kobe still standing by the other dock of the boat with her back facing the males still not moving.
Max was really confused for a moment so we jumped off the barrel and hopped from one crate to another until he finally reached Kobe's backpack.
" Is everything alright dear?" Max asked the distressed female cat. Kobe got startled as she snapped out of her thoughts to talk to her best friend.
" Oh yeah. I'm fine." She responded in a low tired voice. Max raised an eyebrow when she said that. He knew Kobe was lying.
" Come on Kobe. We've been best friends since we met at the animal shelter." Max told her in a firm voice.
" You know Artie seems like a nice guy." The little gecko stated.
" It's not Arthur I'm worried about, It's Fiona." Kobe told her best friend. It wasn't unlikely for Kobe to feel paranoid at times since she's a worry wart but she was never worried all the time.
" What about her?" Max asked her. She looked down at the little gecko.
" Remember when we defeated the Fairy godmother for setting Fiona up with Prince Charming a month ago?" Kobe asked. Max nodded his head yes.
" Yeah? What about it?" Max asked her with a raised eyebrow.
" Think about it. The Fairy godmother intended to put a spell on Shrek after finding out that Fiona never drank the potion and the King got hit with the magic and so did she. The fairy godmother vanished into bubbles and dust. Unlike her, Prince Charming's still alive." Kobe explained to him.
" What are you getting at?" Max asked her.
" Max, whenever we go somewhere away from Fiona, something bad always happens. I have a weird feeling that she and her mom might be in danger right now. Prince Charming might be there for revenge." The female cat pointed out worried sick. Max's eyes widened as she said this.
" You do have a point. The prince would hurt Shrek once we see him but we don't know how she's doing. Fiona and her mom are strong women, they can take care of themselves." Max assured her.
" Well, at least Fiona as HER mom." Kobe said sadly while remembering that her own mother passed away. Max felt guilty for saying stuff about moms.
" Sorry." Max apologized nervously.
" It's not your fault." Kobe reminded him. She also had something else in her mind and looked down at Max.
" Booboo?" She asked the little gecko as he looked back up at her.
" I miss my brother Georgie." Kobe told Max sadly. He petted her on the shoulders trying to make her happy.
" What's going on here?" A voice asked startling the two. It was Arthur looking at them in confusion. Kobe looked at him bashfully since she's pretty shy around new people.
" Hey Artie. Me and Max were just having some alone time." Kobe told Artie nervously.
" Really? Because you didn't sound very happy." Artie told the female cat which caused her to look at him with wide eyes.
" Well it's just I have stuff on my mind, that's all." Kobe told the teenage boy.
" Really? What kind of stuff?" Artie asked her.
" Sorry dude, but I can't talk about it now." Kobe said not wanting to tell Arthur about her miserable past again like she told Shrek, Fiona, Donkey and Puss. He understood.
The boat suddenly pitched to the right. Shrek braced himself while Puss and Donkey tumbled away.
" Whoa!" The gang exclaimed feeling the boat shaking.
" Hang on Max!" Kobe exclaimed to Max while he was holding onto her shoulder. Artie swang the wheel around, sending the boat back in the direction of his school.
Shrek worked his way into the cabin and gained control of the wheel. The drunken Ship captain sailed away.
" Whoa! There goes my hip." The Ship captain said.
" Artie!" Shrek yelled out to the teenage boy as he turned the wheel the other way.
" What are you doing?!" The ogre asked Artie out loud. The boat veered again, heading back towards Far Far Away.
Arthur fell to the ground and slid to the back of boat. A shuffle board stick slid next to him.
" What does it look like?!" Artie yelled out to Shrek as he jammed the stick in the boat's wheel. The boat lurched.
He swung the boat back in the other direction. Shrek rised up and grabbed the wheel and turned it.
" This really isn't up to you!" Shrek exclaimed to Artie who fell underneath the wheel. He stood up shoving the wheel back the other way.
" But I don't know anything about becoming a king!" Arthur exclaimed while the six were still in danger.
" You'll learn on the job!" Shrek assured him. Donkey and Puss rolled across the deck. Kobe held on real tight to the docks but felt like vomiting.
Whoaaa!" Donkey exclaimed while rolling as he felt unbalanced. Shrek grabbed the wheel and swung it around. Artie yanked the wheel. They wrestled for control. This wasn't good at all.
" Sorry to disappoint you, but I'm going back!" Artie exclaimed.
" Back to what? Being a loser?" Shrek asked the kid in disbelief. As soon as the words left his lips, he knew he had gone too far. Stung, Artie let go of the wheel, leaving Shrek to yank hard on it.
He pulled the steering column from the deck.
" Now look what you did!" Shrek angrily blamed Artie.
" Look what I did? Who's holding the wheel chief?" Artie asked the ogre offended that he was at fault.
" Sorry to interrupt your argument but... DONKEY AND I ARE GETTING SEASICK OVER HERE!!" Kobe shouted who was gagging as Shrek looked at his pet cat and his best friend Donkey who was climbing up the railing realizing she wasn't lying. The two of them looked like they were about to throw up.
The ogre desperately set the wheel back down and tried to steer the shop clear of the rocks.
