Artie immediately recovered after that. Shrek was impressed.

" Piece of cake." Artie said.

" Well, well, well. You want some eggs with that ham?" Shrek asked with a smile. Merlin returned holding a spell book.

" Now, I'm a little rusty, so there could be some side effects." Merlin told the five. Kobe and Donkey were shocked.

" Side effects?!" Donkey panicked.

" Are you kidding me right now?!" Kobe exclaimed in frustration.

" Don't worry, whatever it is, no matter how excruciatingly painful it may be, it'll wear off eventually... I think." Merlin told them while raising an eyebrow to his last sentence. He cracked his knuckles. A bolt of lightning shot out his hands and blew up next to Donkey.

" Ah!" Donkey yelped out scared of the explosion.

" Oops." Merlin said as he felt guilty.

Kobe, Donkey and Puss shot Shrek a pleading look.

" Are you sure this is a good idea?" Donkey asked the ogre.

" Yeah. I'm not comfortable with this Shrek." Kobe whispered to her owner.

" Look, if Artie trusts him, that's good enough for me. Even if doesn't quite cover his..." Shrek didn't have time to finish Merlin started saying his magic words making the gang disappear in a puff of smoke.

The five were teleported into the woods and fell out of the sky through the canopy of a large apple tree. They ping-ponged through the foliage and landed in a heap at the base of a tree. Kobe stood up and stretched her arms and legs. She noticed Puss laying in front of her and was worried. He moaned and groaned in pain.

" Puss! Are you okay?" Kobe asked the male cat worried for him as she helped him get up.

" I'm fine. But why did you call me Puss?" Puss asked the female cat in Donkey's voice. Kobe was shocked to hear the mule's voice come out of Puss' mouth.

" Donkey?!" Kobe asked in disbelief as she took a step back. Turns out Puss and Donkey switched bodies. Shrek and Artie were shocked as well.

" What's wrong? Is there something in my teeth?" Donkey (in Puss' body) asked them.

" You might wanna find out." Kobe told the donkey (now a cat) in fear of his reaction. Donkey's eyes widened when he realized his voice was coming out of Puss' mouth.

" Huh? What the? Oh no!" Donkey (in Puss' body) panicked as he felt the cat's whole body on himself. Kobe looked at Puss (in Donkey's body) who fell out of a tree.

" Puss!" Kobe exclaimed as she ran past Donkey (in Puss' body) to make sure Puss (in Donkey's body) was okay.

" Are you okay Puss?" Kobe asked the male cat (in Donkey's body).

" I'm okay Seniorita." Puss (in Donkey's body) assured her gently. He was shocked that he was in the body of a donkey.

" I've been abracadabra'd into a fancy feasting second rate sidekick!" Donkey (in Puss' body) panicked as he wasn't satisfied with his new body.

" At least you don't look like some kind of bloated roadside piñata. You should really think about going on a diet!" Puss (in Donkey's body) criticized the mule ( in Puss' body) which caused Kobe to glare at him.

" What?" Puss (in Donkey's body) asked the female cat.

" You think I'm laughing right now?" Kobe asked the male cat (in Donkey's body) in anger.

" Well you should think about getting yourself a pair of pants! I feel exposed and nasty!" Donkey (in Puss' body) exclaimed in embarrassment offended to what Puss (in Donkey's body) said. Both Shrek and Artie stared at the duo. Strained smiles pasted to their faces. They bursted out laughing.

" Shrek! Arthur!" Kobe exclaimed in anger as they were laughing. She joined Puss and Donkey and the three of them scowled at the ogre and teenage boy.

" Oh, so you two think this funny?" Donkey (in Puss' body) asked scowling in anger. Puss (in Donkey's body) was just fuming. Kobe stomped angrily toward Shrek and Artie.

" Am I happy?" Kobe asked them with a nasty angry look on her face.

" No." Shrek told the female cat.

" I'm angry and upset that our friends especially Max are trapped back in Far Far Away by Prince Charming and Donkey and Puss switched bodies with each other!" Kobe exclaimed in anger as she was frustrated by this whole mess.

" I'm really sorry guys!" Arthur said as he snickered.

" Don't be! You got us back kid." Shrek told the teenage boy. He motioned to Far Far Away, just a few miles ahead of him. He turned back to Artie. The boy smiled while Donkey took few awkward steps in Puss' body.

" Ow, ow, ow, ow, ow. How in the Hans Christian Anderson am I supposed to parade around in these goofy boots?" Donkey asked complaining.

" Be careful with those." Puss (in Donkey's body) told him before he let out a 'hee haw' sound which caused Kobe to look up at the male cat (in Donkey's body) startled. Puss was shocked by this and tried to recover.

" They were made in Madrid by the finest..." Puss (in Donkey's body) tried to say but got cut off by another 'hee haw' sound.

" Oh for god's sakes!" Kobe thought to herself as she rolled her eyes in annoyance to Puss' donkey noises.

" Oh, you'll learn to control that." Donkey (in Puss's body) told the male cat ( in Donkey's body) in annoyance.
