Chapter 29

As the dust cleared, the crown rolled across the stage. Artie stopped it with his foot and slowly picked it up.

" It's yours if you want it, you know, but it's your choice." Shrek assured the boy.

Artie considered it and looked at Shrek who was smiling proudly at him. Artie turned to his audience and held out the crown to them. They cheered for him.

He placed the crown on his head and crowd went nuts. In the audience, Raul sobbed sight joy. Everyone started chanting Artie's name. They all cheered as the Fairy tale creatures and villains put Artie up on their shoulders and carried him off. Kobe, Max along with Donkey and Puss (still in each other's bodies) watched as Artie got carried away. In a puff of smoke, Merlin appeared. He looked around confused.

" Uh, excuse me, that's my seat." Merlin said to a person before getting thrown back against the front of the stage as Kobe, Max, Puss and Donkey confronted him.

" Oh thank goodness you're here, Mr Merlin, you gotta switch them back!" Kobe confronted the old man as the males nodded their heads in agreement.

" Although I have been enjoying these cat baths." Donkey (in Puss' body) admitted which caused Kobe to roll her eyes before turning her head back to Merlin.

" Please say you didn't." Puss (in Donkey's body) pleaded.

" Alright look, You two are gonna feel a little pinch, and possibly some lower intestinal discomfort, but this will do the trick." Merlin explained before he rolled up his sleeves and prepared for the magic. Kobe took a step back as he let loose with a bright burst of magic.

It took a moment for Donkey and Puss to recover. Kobe walked over to the duo and asked " Are you two alright?" They both eyed each other cautiously.

" Are you?" Puss asked the donkey in his regular voice. Kobe and Max looked surprisingly happy when they heard his deep voice come out his mouth.

" You're you!" Kobe cheered on happily as she jumped for joy and lifted up the male cat, hugging him.

" And I'm me again!" Donkey cheered on as well as he was happy to be back in his body. The four of them hugged each other. Well, Max was squashed in between.

" Guys! You're squeezing me!" Max wheezed as he was barely breathing.

" Oh sorry booboo." Kobe apologized to her best friend.

" Booboo?" Merlin looked at the female cat surprised.

" That's his nickname." She told the wizard. Donkey and Puss turned around and walked away. Kobe and Max were about to follow them but noticed Merlin smoking fingers and all.

" Nevermind." Merlin said as he looked at Kobe and Max.

" It's alright, I'm just gonna go talk to my... boyfriend.~" Kobe told Merlin who looked at her stunned before he walked away. Max was stunned when she said. He gestured to his best friend that he was going to leave her alone to tell Puss about her feelings for him while hopping over to the Evil Trees.

" Puss!" Kobe called to the male cat as he stopped and turned to look at the female cat. He stepped towards her.

" There's something I've been wanting to tell you for a long time." Kobe told the male cat as she started blushing.

" What is it, Seniorita?" Puss asked her with a raised eyebrow. Her eyes widened while trying to think of what to say.

" Well... ever since we met, you seemed pretty dangerous. Then you turned out to be a really nice cat." I also like the cute cuddly act." Kobe explained to him, still blushing.

" What are you trying to say?" The male asked her. Donkey turned around and noticed the two talking.

" Puss.... I.....I.....I.....I......" Kobe stuttered and blubbered while she was about to say it but Puss covered her mouth with his right paw. He smirked at her.

" Kobe, you love me, don't you?" Puss asked the female cat, still smirking. Her face turned red and her heart was beating really fast. She was sweating as well. Donkey watched as he was waiting for an answer. The conversation was just silence at the moment. Kobe finally broke the silence by letting out an exclaimed noise, ran closer to Puss and hugged him, kissing him on the lips.

Puss looked at her shocked and blushed. He closed his eyes, wrapped his arms around Kobe and kissed her back. The two of them purred at each other during the kiss. Max who was with the Evil Trees watched the two kiss each other with a smile on his face. The trees were stunned while watching the two cats kiss each other.

" Hallelujah!" Donkey exclaimed as he jumped for joy, seeing the cats kiss.

A spotlight shined on the two felines who were all over each other. Dragon stared at the two in awe while the Dronkeys looked away with disgust.

" Awwwww!" The princesses, Fairy tale creatures and the audience exclaimed in awe watching the two cats kiss. The Fairy tale villains watched with their jaws dropped. Artie looked at Kobe and Puss shocked while Fiona just smiled at the two.

" Shrek, look." The princess told her husband, nudging him on the shoulder as he followed what she was pointing at. He was way more shocked then everyone else was when he saw his pet cat Kobe and his friend Puss kiss each other.

" Is Puss kissing my cat?" Shrek asked Fiona with his eye switching in shock.

" Actually SHE'S kissing him." Fiona reminded her husband as she chuckled.

The ogre looked at his wife and realized the reason why Kobe was acting weird since Puss became part of the family.

After hours of kissing Puss, Kobe quickly opened her eyes and saw a spotlight above the two which meant that everyone was staring at them. She pulled away from Puss and exhaled.
