~Time skip~ (2-3 hours)

"Benj. Time to wake up." Cal shook the boy in his arms, Benji groaned and snuggled closer to Cal.

"No~" Benji cried,

"You need to eat." There was a tray of food on the counter.

"Not hungry." Benji mumbled,

"At least sit up." Cal looked down at the black fluff of hair, then Benji looked up with puppy dog eyes. "That's not fair! Don't give me those puppy dog eyes!" Benji laughed,

"If I do sit up can we just cuddle, I'm tired." Benji nuzzled Cal's chest,

"Of course. The team will be stopping by later."

"Wait what time is it?"

"Almost 4 in the afternoon, why?"

"Just wondering." Cal was sitting up now and was helping Benji sit up. Cal put pillows behind him to help him stay up. "Thanks." Benji mumbled,

"Always." Cal sat next to Benji and put his arm around his shoulder. "Do you want to watch a movie or something?"

"Ya sounds like fun!" Benji smiled. Cal grabbed his laptop and put it on the side table that hung over the bed. He pulled up Netflix and played a random show. He sat back next To Benji. Benji snuggled close and watched the show. An hour passed, the two teens jumped to a knock on the door.

"Come in!" Benji shouted so the person or people on the other side could hear him, the team walked in with concerned faces on, "What's up?" Benji smiled at them,

"The nurse told us what happened, about your fever. How are you feeling?" Tyler asked,

"Better." Benji stretched his arms and yawned.

They talked about really anything that came to their mind for like two hours, then visiting hours ended and they had to leave.

~Time Skip~ (2 weeks)

'Oh shit! Today is when I get my mechanical leg and walk for the first time in 2 weeks!' Benji was thinking a lot that day. Brit burst through the door, with his mom, Nurse Kate, and Doctor Hanna behind her.

"BENJI!" she yelled and jumped on the bed, "You get to be part robot now! That's so cool!" she smiled brightly,

"Yeah I guess." he smirked,

"I got your leg here for you to try." Nurse Kate was holding a mechanical leg in her hands, with a few other things as well,

"Are you ready?" Doctor Hanna smiled, he nodded. His mom sat in the guest chair, Brit sat next to him on the edge of the bed. Doctor Hanna rolled a doctor's chair over and sat down in front of Benji, Nurse Kate handed her the leg and laid the other things next to Benji on the bed. "Ok, so you see this?" she pointed to a cup thing on top of the leg, Benji nodded. "This-" she rolled his basketball shorts up to see where the amputation had taken place, "This part will suction to the still remaining limp like so." she placed the cold black plastic on his leg, this shot chills up his spine. "Opp, sorry it's cold."

"It's fine." Benji smiled softly,

"Ok, but first this wrap thing will have to go on first." she sat the leg on the floor leaning on the bed. She grabbed a black sleeve thing, it had a rounded pocket with a strap attached to it. She velcro the strap around Benji's waist, facining the safety buttons to, and the cup sat around the remaining limb. "Like so, the strap will go under your pants usually but this is just for demonstration." Benji nodded,

"Get in the wheelchair so we can take you to the gym so you can practice walking!" Nurse Kate smiled brightly at Benji.

"But first, let me finish putting on your leg. Take your shorts off." Doctor Hanna said,

"MY WHAT!" Benji felt very embarrassed,

"Oh shut up and take your pants off." Doctor Hanna gave a quiet snicker, "You'll be fine." Benji wiggled out of his shorts so now he was just in his boxers. He was looking at the ceiling not wanting to look at anyone. Doctor Hanna laughed under her breath before putting on the strap and pocket, she buttoned the buttons as well. "You can put your pants back on." Doctor Hanna smiled, he quickly put on his shorts feeling very uncomfortable.

"Thanks." he murmured,

The doctor smiled before she said, "I'm putting on your leg now." She reached over and grabbed the leg and gently placed it on, she made sure the suction was good and the leg was secure. "All good!" she smiled. Benji looked down and saw the mechanical leg, his mouth was open slightly and he looked stunned.

"Sweetie? What's wrong?" his mom stood up and walked over to her son, she sat next to him and wrapped her arm around his shoulder.

"I didn't believe it before but now..." he paused, "it's so real!" he was starting to cry now, he covered his face with his hands.

"Oh I know sweetie." she gave him a side hug, burying his head into her shoulder, kissing his black fluffy hair. "Don't worry Benj, you have me, Brit, and your whole team." he nodded slightly. He calmed down and wiped his tear stained face. He nodded, saying he was ready.

"Good." Doctor Hanna stood up, Nurse Kate wheeled over the chair. They helped him into the chair. He turned around, he knew how to use a wheelchair because he learned last week, so he wasn't a complete waste of space. Brit happily sat on his good leg. He wheeled out of the room, the doctor and nurse leading the way while his mom was walking behind.
