"Yum!" Benji and Brin said in unison, they ate in a comfortable silence. Benji placed his plate in the sink and grabbed his stuff.
"Cal's bringing me to school so don't worry Mom, have a good day Brit!" He waved goodbye and headed out the door. Cal's car was out in the driveway, he opened the passenger door and jumped in.
"Ready?" Cal asked,
"Ready as I'll ever be." Bneji let out a heavy sigh,
"Ok then." Cal drove them to the school, it was a pretty awkward ride. Once they got there they made their way to the gym. As they entered Benji was instantly engulfed in a team hug.
Benji laughed, "I missed you guys too." he smiled from ear to ear, a genuine simile, which is rare. Couch Jay cleared his throat to get everyone's attention, they all looked at him,
"I know we're all excited to see Benji back but two laps around the gym." he stated, "Go!" he shouted, clapping his hands together. Everyone groaned and started running, well except Benji of course. He made his way to the bench and sat on the hard plywood. The manager, Maddie, walked over with Lucy, the manager's assistant trailing behind her.
