Benji turned his head to Cal's shoulder, not wanting to watch his blood being pulled out of him by Doctor Hannah. After two syringes were full of Benji's blood to test, Doctor Hannah handed them to Nurse Kate to take to the lab.
Once Nurse Kate left with the blood and needles, Benji calmed down greatly.
"Ok, so now I'm just going to check your vitals." Doctor Hannah said. She checked his heart rate, lungs, blood pressure, eyes, and ears. She also checked his stump for any weird things going on (wtf??). Once she was done, she led them to a different waiting room to wait for the test results.
It was about 25 minutes of not so patiently waiting to see if Benji was cancer-free. Once a nurse called them back, Doctor Hannah was already there with Nurse Kate. Nurse Kate held the results in her hands.
This time, the room was only filled with 5 chairs and no bed. They all sat down in a chair waiting anxiously. Doctor Hannah sat down on a stool to be at the others' level. She cleared her throat and held her hand out for the clipboard.
Nurse Kate handed her the board with a blank expression. It wasn't sad or happy, not mad or discussed, just plain. Doctor Hannah read over the results,
"Well..." she paused, "Benji," Cal kissed Benji's hand that was interlocked with his own, "You're fully cancer-free!" Both Nurse Kate and Doctor Hannah smiled widely.
"Are you shitting me right now!" Benji cried with joy, no one even yelled at him for his language,
Doctor Hannah smiled with a little laugh, "I'm not shitting you, Benji! You're fully cancer-free."
Benji burst out into more tears, Cal side hugged him kissing him on his lips lightly, having a few tears fall down his cheeks. Mary sent a quick text to someone, Benji saw but didn't ask, Mary was also in tears. She was smiling ear to ear, she hugged Benji after Cal finished. She kissed him over and over on the forehead.
Brit jumped off of her seat and went over to Doctor Hannah,
"So my brother isn't going to be in this dump anymore?" she asked innocently, everyone burst out laughing,
"Yes dear, your brother, hopefully, won't be in this dump anymore." Doctor Hannah laughed,
"Yay!!" Brit threw her hands up and the air smiling, she ran over to Benji, hugging him around the neck. "I wove you Benji!" she smiled at him.
"I love you too Brit." Benji kissed Brit on the cheek, giving her a bone-crushing hug.
