He threw his bags on the ground by his school bag and practice bag. He leaned the crutches up against the wall and flopped on the bed. 'Oh my god! I missed this bed!' he thought, the hospital bed was not comfortable at all! He laid down to take a nap, pulled over his weighted blanket on top of him. He was all alone, in the dark cramped room. 'Crap' Benji thought, 'Too many thoughts!'
"You're so weak!" it said,
"Just freaking die!"
"You're just a weakling."
"Weak!"
"Weak!"
"Weak!"
"Weak!"
"Weak!"
"Weak!" it repeated,
Benji was silently crying, curling up on himself. Now that he thought about it he should probably take his antidepressants. He sat up and tried to stand up, key word tried. He stood up forgetting he was not wearing his metal leg, and feel straight down onto the hard cold floor, "Fuck!" Benji cried. He tried to get up but fell on the floor again, he sobbed and sobbed. His mom was downstairs making dinner, Brit on the counter talking about school. She heard a thud from upstairs, 'Huh, that's weird... Wait! Benji!' she thought, she dropped the spoon she was using and rushed upstairs. She burst through the door almost breaking it off the hinges. She looked around the room panicked, not bothering to look on the floor. Then she heard the quiet sob of her son. She looked down, Benji was crying in his arms, shaking.
"Benji!" she sorta screamed, she rushed to the floor,
"I hate this!" Benji cried between sobs,
"I know you do sweetie, shh, we're going to get through this." she was now cradling him in his arms, "Want me to get Brit?" she said softly, he shook his head yes. "Brit, can you come up here." she yelled softly,
"The voices." he cried, "The voices came back!" he cried even harder. She looked down at Benji, realizing he was covering his ears with his hands.
