~Time Skip~ (2 more weeks because i'm freaking lazy)
"Are you ready to go home Benji?" Nurse Kate asked, Benji was helping his mom fold some clothes, well more like standing and watching on his crutches. Brit was laying on the bed playing on her iPad.
"Yup, just making sure I have everything!"
"Benji, please sit down, me and your mother have something to say." Doctor Hanna said sternly,
"Ok?" Benji said concerned and confused, Benji walked over and as comfortable as he could, sat down.
"When you got here, we saw the marks, er thought it might be from basketball but once I saw your legs and arms I knew something was up. Your dad is hurting you right?" Benji looked down ashamed.
"Yeah." he mumbled,
"Ok, we've talked to the police when you were here for the third week or so, I'll leave the rest to your mom." His mom walked over and squatted down, putting her hand on his real knee and lightly squeezing it,
She gave him the look, "Oh no." Benji covered his mouth with both hands and tears pricked his eyes. His father might not have been the nicest but underneath he was still Benji's father.
"I'm so so sorry Benj." His mom cupped his face in her hands.
"He wasn't on a trip wasn't he." Benji mumbled, his mom shook her head.
"He wanted me to give you this." She handed him a cross with the family's birthstones on them, even Brenna's. This was Benji's breaking point. He sobbed and sobbed clutching the cross to his heart. His mom hugged him tightly.
