Against all odds (Bucky x Reader x Steve)

You and Bucky had been dating for some time, you thought you were inlove but it turns out you weren't in love with him at all, you were in fact in love with his best friend and agaisnt all odds Steve was madly in love with you.

Bucky showered you with everything you could ever want but you felt yourself pull further and further away from him, when Steve was in the room you Avoided Bucky too not make Steve feel bad, you hadn't told each other but the feelings you had were strong.

You and Bucky were watching a film one day, you were laid up in his arms, and everything got to much for you, you began crying which Bucky instantly heard. What's wrong he asked, you blabbered about being a horrible person and that you weren't good enough for Bucky and just how horrible you were, once you'd finally finished crying you sat there staring at the wall, Bucky sat next to you and asked you what was wrong, you began crying again but showed no signs of looking at Bucky, "doll, your scaring me." Bucky said, "please don't call me that, I'm not even worthy of that." You said tears dropping down your face, "Buck, I'm horrible, I'm such a horrible person, the thing I'm about to say is going to change everything, change your outlook on me, and this is solely on me, no one else." You said crying more. He held his breath, "I'm in love with Steve." You said running your shaking fingers through your hair, "I don't know when it happened but it just did and I feel myself pushing you further and further away because of my stupid heart, I wish it wasn't true Buck I really do, but I can't lie to you I can't let you live a lie that's not even your fault." You cried, he didn't no what to say, he sat there for a moment and then left.

You stayed in that same position, you didn't move, you just let the tears freely drop until you were left with nothing, which is what you deserved. You didn't deserve Steve and you definitely didn't deserve Bucky, you were the worst human imaginable. You feel asleep for almost an hour and you woke up to Bucky slamming the door, he said nothing to you expect walk past you, you were in some kind of shock, your body wasn't connecting to your brain. He walked back past you with a duffel bag, "I'm, I'm going to spend the night at the tower. I'll be back for my stuff later." He said, "I'm sorry Buck, I want to beg you to stay with me, but I can't do that to you. I'm so sorry, I'm so sorry for what I've done, I'm so, so, sorry.!8' horrible." You said not taking your eyes of the back of the wall, "please remember to eat and drink." He said, tears dropped from your eyes, "I never deserved you Buck. I'm so sorry." You cried some more, he wanted to stay, but nothing he could do would change your mind, so he silently left.

Two days you weren't seen for, two days your phone hadn't been charged and two days without Bucky already seemed like forever, you were in the same spot, with the same clothes and the same feeling you had previously, the only difference was that you only got up to pee.

The door rang, your doorbell rang and banging on your door, you still didn't get up to answer it, you stared at the one patch on your wall that was faulty just like you. "ITS NATASHA, let me in." She shouted, you ignored her, the only ones that could break your door down was Bucky, Steve & Thor, but they weren't going to come to you.

Another two days passed, you managed to move, you took a quick shower and changed into some new clothes, you went back to the same spot. Later that day Bucky had come back with Steve & Sam to pick up the rest of his stuff, he let himself in with his key.

"Hey y/n." Steve said, you ignored them all, walked into the bathroom and locked the door, they all shared a look with each other. You softly began to cry again, you'd broken it off with Bucky for Steve and you couldn't even look at either of them.

Steve and Bucky moved his stuff pretty quickly, "hey y/n, I'm leaving the key on the counter." He said softly agaisnt the bathroom wall, he could only hear your sobs, "I'm so sorry Buck." You said over and over again, "I'm such a horrible person." You said over and over. Bucky shook his head and went to tell Steve, maybe Steve could get her out, Steve tried his best but you weren't listening to him, Bucky came up with one final attempt, it was bold but something had to work.
