He who is worthy (Steve x Reader with avengers)

Prompt: If Steve can lift Thor's hammer he gets to take you on a date.

One of Tony's party's had just finished, it wasn't a big event but Steve did tell you that Natasha and Bruce had feelings for each other which made you happy because they both finally admitted it.

You were sat on the floor in the middle of Maria Hill and Clint, you had a neat whiskey that you were sipping on and every so often you looked up to see Steve staring at you, each time you made eye contact you smiled at him.

Everyone was having there own conversations when Clint brought up Thor's hammer. The conversation took a turn for the worse when Thor invited Clint to try and lift it, he stood up next too you and handed you the drummer stick he'd been playing with, he attempted to lift it but couldn't so he sat back down next to you.

Tony started talking about how it was science and you needed to lift it in the right way, like before Thor offered him to lift it.

Tony had a look and then tried picking it up, he couldn't, he walked out of the room. "Wow way to hurt a mans ego Thor." You said earning a laugh from Steve. Tony walked back in with his glove on, he attempted to pick it up with that and even put an extra force into it, still her couldn't lift it. You giggled and Steve looked over and smiled, your giggle was one of his favourite sounds. Tony invited Rhodney up to help him and neither of them could lift it.

Tony heard to laugh again, "why not try if your going to sit there and laugh?" Tony said with a smirk upon his face, "oh no, I wouldn't want to take Thor's powers." You said taking a sip of your drink. "Captain?" Natasha said with a smirk, "oh no, I'm alright." He said taking a sip of his drink.

It was then Bruce's turn, he tried to lift it and failed which caused him to roar like hulk without actually turning into him, this made Steve laugh. "Go ahead Steve." Bruce said, Steve shook his head again, "alright, Steve you lift it and you can take Y/N out for dinner." Tony said with the biggest of smiles on his face, everyone looked at you, "alright I'll bite. Steve you lift it and we can go on a date." You said, Steve immediately got up.

He tried to lift it and you swore you could see it move the tiniest of millimetres, you looked up to Thor who had a scared look on his face, Steve gave up and looked to Thor, "nothing." He said with a nervous laugh. "Looks like the Captain will be dining alone." Tony laughed, he looked over at you. "Don't worry Stevie. You got the date anyway." You said with a big smile, a few people around the room began to cheer.

You and Steve went on a date after the events of sokovia, he took you too a lovely restaurant but it was too fast paced for you both, he ended up taking you too one of his favourite diners. You ended up having a burger with fries and a chocolate milkshake which you enjoyed more than the fancy food you would have eaten.

Steve walked with you back to the tower and told you some stories of his childhood, as you got too your door you gave him a kiss on the cheek and he walked away with a smile on his face.

You and him began dating, you got to see eventually see him lift Mijinor. (A little secret he wasn't the only misguardian who could lift Thor's hammer)
