Once a Stark always a Stark (Bucky x reader)

Imagine - Tony stark insulting you causing you too leave

"Fat load of help you were to your parents." Tony shouted at you with instant regret. Your hand went to the first thing you could touch and it was a knife, Bucky held your hand down with his metal arm and Steve wrapped his arms around you in a bear hug.

You could feel the tears form in your eyes, it had been a while since someone had mentioned your parents. "Let it go y/n. He's not worth it." Sam said. "I need to get out of here before I bring this whole joint down." You said shaking from the anger.

"I'm, im, sorry, y/n" Tony said, he attempted to grab your arm, your arm swung back and in an instant Bucky held your arm back, Tony cowered away like the jerk he was.

You walked out of the tower into the rain, she felt most at peace when she was in the water of any kind; that and you could finally let the tears drop.

Your feet took you too a place you hadn't been in a long time, it was over grown and you cried more at the fact you'd choose to forget them. You still couldn't face what had happened and it had been almost 20 years.

*back at the compound*

"You really messed up this time Stark." Sam said.

"What in the world possessed you too say that?" Steve said.

"You do realise it's there anniversary today?" Bucky said.

"ALRIGHT I GET IT." Tony shouted walking out.

Bucky, Sam and Steve stood together, not saying a word. "How long shall we give her?" Sam finally spoke.

"I haven't seen her that pissed since she came face to face with Zemo." Bucky said.

Steve walked out of the room.

"That was quite funny. Didn't see dislocate your shoulder tin man?" Sam laughed.

"Yeah and look how long it took her too recover from that." Bucky said shaking his head.

Steve walked back in with a black water jacket on. Bucky and Sam nodded at him. Steve walked out and went to the one place he new she would end up.

He saw her meant against the tombstone breathing deeply, no words were exchanged, he pulled her back into him and wrapped his arms around her in a comforting way. "When are these feelings going to go away?" You spoke through breathes, "I'm here. I'm here." Steve said.

You continued to sob and grip onto Steve like he was vanish as well. You finally calmed down enough to talk, "I miss them. So much that words can't actually put together what I mean. I don't even know what I mean." She said wiping her tears, "I need to leave Steve, that was a low blow I don't know if he can come back from. I can't even stand to look at him without you or Buck being around." You finally said.

"You can't leave us." Steve said, you choose to ignore what he said and you freed yourself from his embrace. "I don't wanna be a monster again Steve. Not because of a stark anyway." You said, you'd turned your clocking on and he could no longer see you. "Come on Y/N that's not fair." Steve said looking around for you.

Steve pulled out his phone and called Sam, "you lost her didn't you?" He said without Steve having to say a word, "yeah. I think she's heading back to the compound, she said she's leaving." Steve said, "THE HELL SHE IS." Bucky shouted from the background. "Don't let him touch Tony until I'm back." Steve said, he jogged back home and got there just as Bucky was being held back by Sam. "Steve help man." Sam said being pushed along the floor.

You walked into the room and Steve and Sam were trying to hold back a pissed off Bucky who was shouting at Tony, who was shouting at Bucky. You walked past without any of them noticing you were there, you packed your bag with what you needed for a week and then you walked back past them, this time Bucky had hold of Tony's collar and was up against the wall. "SHE WANTS TO LEAVE BECAUSE OF YOU." Bucky shouted.

You started off on foot and then hot wired Sam's car that was around the corner. You made it as far as the shore line and then you jumped into the water, you had your one man boat set up, you were surprised you hadn't used it until know.

You wrote a letter to Steve, Bucky and Sam:

Bucky, Steve & Sam,

You were the best friends I ever had and I honestly regret that I have to do this, but I can't be that monster again.

I'll return one day, maybe?

I thought I'd have a lot to say but turns out I don't, not at the precise moment.

Bucky, my number one , my heart beats for you ❤️ look after Steve's Dramatic Ass and Sam's Sassy Ass. I know you'll do fine without me, your strong.

Sam, you never got your hook up but you'll always be in my heart (laughing face) take care of my super humans, I know I said Bucky was strong but I think he'll miss me the most, Steve will pretend to be strong but may need a hug every once and a while. My brother ❤️

Little Stevie Rogers, you'll always be the lil kid from Brooklyn that me and Buck always had to save. You turned out to be the saviour for not just me but Buck as well. Please look after Buck, I didn't mean to break his heart but I'm trying to protect you all.

I love you all, more than words can describe.

P.s. give my pop tarts too Thor; I know he'll appreciate them.

She jumped down onto the boat and sailed away.

Back at the compound they all waited for Y/N to return, they were shocked when it hit 22:00pm that she hadn't even checked in. "What if she's hurt?" Bucky said, each avenger shot him a look, he raised his hands and nodded his head. "I'm going to head out to look for her." Sam said, "I'll join you." Said Steve, "me too." Bucky added.

Sam, Steve and Bucky walked to his car, "WHY DO YOU PARK SO FAR AWAY." Bucky moaned, "just because I'm a superhero doesn't mean I make that much money. Stark charged for parking." Sam said, "why don't you just take it into the parking garage downstairs that's for everyone?" Steve said, Sam looked around, "I swear I parked it here." He said, he located his car on his phone but the signal stopped dead above them.

Bucky chuckled, "she took your car didn't she." Bucky said, "she can't have! Why didn't she take one of your bikes." Sam said, "what's quieter Steve, one of two bikes that roar to life or a car that bird Brain parks 10 minutes from the compound?" Bucky said. "GOD DAMN IT WHAT IS IT WITH YOU TWO AND MY CAR." Sam shouted.

Back at the compound Tony managed to turn the locator back on, he had a sullen look on his face. "Tell her I'm sorry. I'll be here when she's ready." Tony said, Steve nodded softly and Sam and Bucky ignored him.

When they reached the car they saw the note. Bucky had to walk away from them, as he got into the woods birds cane flying out the trees and breaking trunks. Steve stood there and looked at the sky for a second "damn you Stark." He whispered too himself. Sam put his hand on Steve's shoulder and gave it a squeeze. "She'll be alright." Sam said, "I know she will. But he won't." Steve said shooting eyes at Bucky, "we're going to have a problem on our hands with him ain't we?" Sam said, "he can't see Stark. Not until he calms down and accepts this." Steve said. Steve and Sam walked into the woods after Buck, they saw him pitched against a tree with ripped apart trees around him.

His bloodshot, sparking blue grey eyes looked up at Steve and Sam.

"She's gone." He said running his hands through his hair.
