Goodbyes (avengers x bucky x reader)

Imagine - you give your life for the soul stone instead of Natasha. Person by person POV

You and Rhodney has gone to Vormir, you were climbing up the big mountain. "Rhods this is killer, we should have choose Cap's birth place." You said with a smile, he shook his head smiling at you, "just because you want to see young Bucky." He said smiling, "like you don't wanna meet Howard." You said with an even bigger smile.

Your plan was in motion, you finally understood why Gamora never returned from this place and it was called the soul stone. Front the start you told Steve that you'd do anything to bring Bucky back.

"Y/N daughter of Y/D/N, Rhodney son of..." your heart skipped a beat you never new your dads name. He explained the soul stone to you. You smiled to yourself a little.

You stood up and Rhodney grabbed your arm, "don't you even think about it." He said looking at you, "come on Rhods. I know what I need to do." You said pulling your arm away, "no, no, he'll no. I'm not letting you do that." He said tears in his eyes, you put your hand on his cheek, "it has to be me. Stark needs you. I need to bring Bucky back. He deserves this." You said softly. "What about if he comes back and your not around?" He said, "he'll have Steve and Sam and we'll everyone really. He's an assets. I love him and my heart hurts every day that he's not here. Please. It's not just for Buck but for everyone else." You whispered, Rhodney let tears drop down his face, "I can't lose you." He said stroking your hair, "do I look sad Rhods?" You said softly, he shook his head. "Please, let me go." You said softly. He nodded and more tears dropped down his face.

You took off weapons and handed them too him, "give Buck my gun and tell him I love him more than life itself. Tell everyone else I was happy and I love them all so much." You said giving him a hug and kissing him on the cheek. "I love you Rods." You said with a smile, "still hate it." He said wiping his eyes.

You stood on the edge and took the leap, Rhodney didn't want to see, he new it was over when red skull moved away, he stood on the edge and looked at your perfect body laying on the face. He put his head into his hand and let more tears fall. A yellow light radiated out and he was then in a shallow pool, soul stone in his hand. He smacked his hand into the water and let out a little shout before pressing the button attached too his wrist.

Rhodney landed a little after everyone else and looked at there smiling faces, he dropped to the floor and everyone stared at him. "Where's Y/N?" Thor asked, Rhodney opened his hand and showed the yellow soul stone.

Thor let out a shout, Hulk punched the floor, Natasha feel into Clint, Tony hung his head and Steve dropped too his knees head in his hands.

"Did she have any family?" Tony asked, "yeah us." Steve said still red eyed. "Why are we talking like she is gone? We have the stones? We can bring her back right?" Thor said, "we can't bring her back. Soul for the stone. She's gone and there's nothing we can do." Steve said. "We need to start. We need to bring everyone back and then deal with Y/N." Tony said.

No one wanted to but they new they had too. Steve, Thor and Tony were always used to having you by there side in battle they almost mucked you with Thanos, you'd normally deliver the final blow but you weren't here too.

Steve watched as Bucky walked out of the sparkling ring and looked around, Steve turned his head because he couldn't bare to tell Bucky just yet.

Captain Marvel delivered the final snap, she managed to dust Thanos and his army.

Bucky walked up too Steve. "I can't find Y/N." He said broken, all Steve had to do was look at him. He dropped to the floor and dropped his gun like he did when he was snapped but without floating away. Steve put his hand on his shoulder. "I'm so sorry Buck." He said another tear dropping from his eye.

Tony has offered to hold a funeral for you, everyone came to his house in order to pay their respects. As you didn't have any family Rhodney took lead on this.

Rhodney:
I was with her the day she gave herself for not just the people standing here but too everyone else. She was so selfless and didn't even ahead a tear, Bucky, you were her final thought, she did this so you could live on. She gave me this to give to you. She was like the daughter I never had, it was my honour too spend her final minutes with her and I will forever keep her memory alive.

Steve:
She was the best person I knew, there was no bad bone in her body and no one else would have been able to do what she did with a smile on their face. I'm gutted I don't get to see her face everyday, the million dollar smile that made even the hardest criminal smile. No one will ever be able to replace her. Her love for Bucky will forever be there, she loved him with her life, she always said to me that she'd forever keep Buck safe and even in her final moments she showed that. I will forever keep her memory alive.

Sam:
She was the most badass girl I did ever met. To have the world's deadliest assassin wrapped around your little finger was something only people thought of. But I know the love between them two was so real. I'm so sorry she's not here with you Buck. I'm even more sorry we don't get to see her smiling face anymore. Hell I could have killed someone but the moment I saw that contagious smile it was game over, I always felt warmth when I looked at her. She really was home, no matter were she was. I'll forever keep her alive if it's the last thing I do.

Bruce:
You were my calm, you brought me back from such dark times, you brought me back from being the green guy and you reminded me that Bruce was also a person. You always helped me with my experiments and you were one of the smartest people I knew.

Natasha:
She was my partner in crime. There was never a dull moment between us, hell she had more balls than anyone I'd ever met. I remember a time we were stranded on the top of a cliff one day, agents running up to us and without a second thought she screamed my name and jumped, she feel the most elegant way and to top it all off she dropped a grenade taking out a majority of the goons. I honestly don't know what I'm going to do without her by my side, I'll never have guts like I did when she was by my side. I love you Y/N so much and I'm so sorry I wasn't there the day you took your final leap. I will forever keep your memory alive.

Clint:
Although we were never close, there wasn't a person I trusted more than you. Few words were spoken between us but I knew that if push come to shove you'd be there. Your memory will forever love on and I'll make sure of that.

Tony:
I had no words, as one of the people who could shut me up, I'm going to miss you. I'm going to miss your sass, I'm going to miss winter death flaring me every time I spoke too you. But most off all I'm going too miss that big golden heart of yours. I'll do what I can too keep your memory alive.

Peter:
My little bestie. I can't even comprehend how I'm meant to be here without you. There has never been a bad day with you. Even when you came back from a trip, blooded and bruised you still made time to make sure I was okay. You were my big sister, you kept me safe and anyone was crazy if they couldn't see how much you adored Bucky. I'll forever keep your memory alive.

Wanda:
You were my first friend, I never would have had the courage too join these guys if it wasn't for you. You were the light on a dull day and I will forever miss you. I'll keep your memory alive.

Vision:
You were adorable. The love you had for Bucky is only what I can hope for with Wanda. You kept them both happier than I have ever seen them and that takes a lot.

Thor:
She was the best friend I ever had, she taught me so much and I will forever be greatly. She was the life of any room when you walked in, her smile would light up any room she entered. I wish I told her how much she meant to me when I still had time. I will forever keep your memory alive.

Bucky:
The light on my darkest days, the beat to my heart, I'm not going to be able deal with you not being here, without your arms keeping me safe and without scaring Tony off every time he spoke to you, I will miss your voice first thing in the morning and the last thing I hear before I go to sleep, the voice that pulls me from the dark places of my brain and the eyes that are home. The first time I told you I loved you was when you'd pulled me out of a hellish nightmare, I'd thrown you from the bed and you jumped on top of me and made me look at you, that's where your eyes felt like home. I will forever love you.
