Harry sat at the kitchen counter with his coffee. Enjoying the quiet moment before he was being picked up to go the airport.

Tour was starting again and he had to fly over to America.

He'd been gone for a long while and had to wait a couple weeks before he'd see Shay and Haley.

As he sat in the quiet kitchen, he let his tears fall and drop onto the counter.
He'd been keeping his feelings bottled up until now. Wanting to be strong.

He hadn't the heart to wake Shay. She looked so peaceful and content. He left her a note on his pillow though and kissed Haley on top of her head. He knew if he stayed upstairs any longer he'd cave and not want to leave.

A knock at the front door signalled it was time to go.

He quickly wiped away his tears, put his mug in the sink and grabbed his bags.

Angus was making good progress, starting to gurgle and coo pretty early on.

"He's got brains already. Just like his dad!" Niall proudly announced.

"Clearly not. You can't even throw your socks in the washing basket!" Heather teased. She was lay on the floor with Angus as he played with his rattle.

"Okay... well.. you can't even... dammit I can't think of anything right now but I'm sure there's something." Niall gave up.

Heather cheered knowing she'd won this argument.

Shay held a crying Haley in her arms as she bounced her up and down. Children's TV playing the background and toys scattered over the floor.

"Sssssh Haley. It's okay. Ssshh." Shay was stressed.

Ever since Harry had left a couple days ago Haley had been a handful. She cried often and refused to do anything other than eat. Sleeping was also hit or miss. Every time Shay put her down she'd start crying again.

She was missing her dada. The separation anxiety being too much for her to bear.

With tears in her own eyes Shay whispered to Haley.

"I know little one. I know. I miss him too."

A week passed by, nothing too crazy happened.

Shay was in meetings figuring out work stuff, she wanted to start slowly easing back into it. She knew that Haley would have to come with her most of the time so needed to check how that would all work.

Plus she needed a distraction from Harry.

They'd been texting and calling when they could. Shay holding up the phone for Harry to speak to Haley. Haley lit up and got excited anytime she saw him, but as soon as the call ended she'd cry.

It'd be couple of weeks until they were flying out and it was killing Shay to see. There was nothing she could do to fix this for her little girl. They just had to wait it out.
