Heather had been in hysterics for a while now. Shay had sent her a funny meme and she couldn't wait to show Niall. He'd gone to drop the kids off at nursery while Heather had work phone calls and meetings.
She'd been sending voice notes back and forth with Shay of them both just laughing.
The front door closed and Heather got excited to show him.
"Hey Ni! Can you come here?" She yelled.
She could hear Niall kicking off his shoes and throwing his keys into the dish by the door.
He shuffled his way into the living room and stopped in the doorway.
"You called my love?" He smirked.
"Okay so Shay sent me this meme and you've gotta see it. So you know how much you love Peaky Blinders?"
"Yeah?" Niall cocked an eyebrow.
Heather turned her phone around and held it up for Niall to see.

Heather watched him as he went through the plethora of emotions. Confusion, a frown and then a small smirk. Her own laughs filled the air.
"Definitely Shay's sense of humour." He replied plainly. Clearly he was trying so hard not to laugh as he threw himself down into the couch.
Heather continued to laugh.
"You are such a liar. You're trying so hard not to laugh! You know that's funny!"
Niall shook his head but his smirk grew even more.
"Give it up Ni. Give in to the Peaky Blenders!" Heather cried.
That was it, Niall let out a hearty belly laugh along with Heather.
Their laughter died down eventually and Heather asked a question.
"We're Gus and Isla okay?"
"All good. They practically flew outta my grasp when we got there. Little nerds." Niall teased.
"Don't be mean. I'd rather they love school then not wanna go." Heather whined.
"I'm only joking Petal. I'm glad they love it." He moved closer to her now. Wrapping an arm over the back of the couch where she sat.
Heather smiled before checking her messages again. There was a new voice note from Shay.
"Wait how did he react?! Let me know!" She giggled.
Heather glanced over to Niall and smirked. Niall smirked back and took the phone to reply.
"Definitely was not funny. But can definitely see why you and Heather laughed."
"Excuse me?!" Heather cried, shoving into him.
Niall sent the voice note and then pressed the mic to do another one.
