Allowed To Say No

A wind had picked up outside. Through the windows, Harry could see the trees swaying back and forth.

He lay on the couch, a couple of snack bars and a cup sat on the arm next to him. His phone also by his side.
His hand lay under his chin as he rested there. He'd put on a random music documentary.

It was still dark out as it was 3am. He couldn't sleep. Whether that be due to nerves or just pre tour jitters, he hated the feeling.

He'd woken up about half hour ago and rather than staying in bed he'd left Shay to sleep. He'd feel guilty being awake while she wasn't. He didn't want to risk waking her up as well.

He'd checked in on Haley and Sienna to find them both out cold. Little snores and murmurs left their mouths.
He smiled to himself before quietly tiptoeing back out of the room and towards the couch in the lounge.

He shifted his body slightly, trying to get comfortable before turning to spot his wife stood in the doorway.
She hadn't put her glasses on yet, they were in her hand, but Harry wondered how she'd made it there without stumbling or tripping.

"Couldn't sleep?" She yawned before placing the glasses on her face.

Harry said nothing in response before turning back to the TV.

Shay sighed before making her way over to him. She parted his legs so that she could lie in-between them and rest her chin on his chest.

He continued to stay silent. That was until Shay began to lift her head further and snuggle into his neck. Leaving small kisses there.

A small smile appeared on his face before he nodded slightly. Lifting his arms and wrapping them around Shay, holding her closer to his body.

"It's going to be all okay you know. You're all pros. I'd be worried if you didn't know what you were doing by now." Shay chuckled at her own words.
Harry did too, as he stroked circles on her back.

"I know. No matter how long I've done this for or how much, I still always feel like this. I wish I didn't."

"It's only natural. I mean you're doing something that's important to you Gorgeous. It's bound to make you feel anxious. I have faith." Shay mumbled into his neck as she began to kiss there again.

"Mmmm. If you have faith in me then what have I got to lose." Harry hummed.

Shay smiled into his skin and continued her assault on his neck.

"I can think of a good way to be distracted." He whispered into her ear. His tone was lower and it sent shivers down Shay's spine.

"Can you now?" Shay teased.

He nodded in response before quickly flipping the two of them over.
It always shocked Shay how well he could do that. Be all puppy dog and mopey but switch to dominant and commanding in mere seconds.
