"Because I don't relish the idea of sitting around a golf course for hours on end with the kids, while you get to play golf!" Heather huffed as she carried a load of washing to the washing machine.

Niall leant against the door frame with a frown.

"It won't just be you, the other lads are bringing their partners and kids."

"That doesn't make it much better." Heather threw the clothes into the machine before pressing a few buttons. The machine whizzed into life.

She turned to face her husband now. A serious look on her face.

Niall really wanted her and the kids to be there but wasn't sure how to convince her. He wracked his brain for ideas until he remembered an important detail.

"It's a free bar?" He smirked.

Heather had lost.

"Ugh fine. But only for the drinks." She pointed at him with a small smirk.

"Yeah right. You're coming to watch my sexy ass play golf." He posed sassily before moving closer and wrapping his arms around her back.

"Someone thinks highly of themselves."

"Ah! A knife in my heart Petal." He brought a hand up to clutch his chest as of he was in pain.

Silence fell before Niall leant in to kiss her.
The kiss was interrupted however. Angus yelled out.

"ISLA HIT ME!!!"

Both Niall and Heather sighed.

"Still sure you want us there?" Heather chuckled.

"Always."

...

It was a sunny morning when the Horan's turned up at the course. The kids were excited beyond belief, trying to get them into their car seats was a struggle when they wouldn't stop wriggling.

The staff greeted them as they entered and ushered them through the venue. Niall's clubs were taken by a member of staff and placed into a cart, ready for him to use.

Niall held onto Isla's hand while Heather had Angus'. They walked through to the balcony that looked out onto the full course.

Lots of their friends had gathered there too with their own kids and partners.
They all said their hellos before sitting down and ordering drinks.

"It's like ten thirty in the morning?!" Lisa exclaimed.

"So, means it's twelve o'clock somewhere right?" Heather smirked before lifting her glass to cheers everyone.

Everyone burst into laughter. Niall watched, as his wife chatted away with his friends and his kids ran around with the other kids. He had the biggest smile on his face.

Eventually the lads headed off to actually do what they came here to do. Leaving the rest of them to their devices at the bar.

"No more for me. Someone's gotta keep these little horrors in check." Ruby giggled as she placed her hand over her glass. Clearly she was already tipsy.

"Yeah I'm gonna switch. Someone's gotta be responsible." Heather agreed before turning around to see the kids were all sat on a circle, telling each other stories.

"See this is why I don't have kids. More for me then." Lisa laughed before heading up to the bar.

Ruby watched with a sympathetic look as she walked away.

"Okay Heather you can't say anything because I don't even think I should know..."

"About what?"

"Okay... so Ryan told me, that Levi had told him, that him and Lisa been to the doctors because they've been trying and nothing."
