Harry lay on the couch with Shay lay in between his legs. She'd fallen asleep with her head resting against his chest. Harry dared not move his lower body, fearing he'd wake her up.
He did however, pick up his phone and start to scroll through his messages. Replying to some he'd forgotten about or typed a reply and didn't send it.

Shay stirred slightly, little hums leaving her mouth. Harry froze thinking she'd woken up but within seconds she was back to being still.

Haley was at preschool so the house was pretty quiet. It always was when she wasn't around. She'd always have something to say or chat about, and with anyone who'd listen.

It wasn't very often they got moments like this. And with the new arrival on their way anytime now, they had to get in these moments when they could.

Harry was unaware that Shay had now opened one eye and somehow managed to shift so that she was looking up at him.
His attention was solely focused on his phone.

He stuck his tongue out slightly in concentration causing Shay to laugh softly. Harry quickly dropped his gaze to look down at his wife.

"You are supposed to be napping?!" He scolded her.

"Hello to you too!" Shay choked out through a laugh. She was surprisingly comfortable even though she was late. Granted Harry was being used as a human pillow and lying down seemed to be the only thing that didn't cause that much pain or irritation.

"How you feeling?" Harry hummed as he brushed a few strands of hair out of her face.

"Better. I just really wish they'd come out now though. I'm getting kind of miserable." She placed both her hands on her stomach and rubbed soothingly.

Harry followed suit, placing his own hands over hers.

"It's just because you've made such a good home for them Pea."

Shay scoffed.

"Don't go all Ross Gellar on me. The sappy act doesn't work anymore. I'm ready to murder almost 24/7, just be thankful I'm a lot calmer right now." Shay replied. She really wasn't joking. Harry had seen her at her absolute best but this pregnancy had also shown him how she was at her worst. Her very worst.

He quickly held his hands up in surrender. They both laughed as Shay reached up to grab at them, bringing them both down to her mouth to kiss lovingly.

The loving moment was interrupted by Shay's phone lighting up and buzzing with a text.

Harry reached over and handed it to her.

"Shit!" Shay exclaimed. Trying to clamber off of Harry and failing. Harry quickly helped her up and then got up himself.

"What? What is it?!"

"I was meant to be taking some photos for Niall. I know he's technically "retired" but his merch is selling like hotcakes now that he's not working and they wanted to update the website." Shay waddled her way into the hall to grab her shoes and coat, she threw the coat at Harry who just stood, dumbfounded in the doorway.
Luckily he caught it but huffed when it landed and hit him in the face.

"Shay... this is a stupid idea you know that right. You could go into labour any second?! There's no way!" Harry tried to be firm.

"For the love of god Harry just help me put on my shoes and coat! I'm fucking miserable here! At least let me do something that I love to try and feel a little less shitty. Yes I might go into labour, yes it's scary but honestly if it happens that thank the lord!" Shay cried. Tears falling as she looked over at him.

Harry couldn't stand it. He knew this was hard on her and he knew that she needed this.

"Okay okay. I'm sorry. I didn't mean to yell. I'm just worrying Shay but okay. Let's do this. Are you sure though?" He agreed but couldn't help doubt that this was a good idea.
