Nobody really knew how to act for the last show.
Knowing that it was in fact, the last show.
Not even Harry knew when they would be back again or if they ever would be back.Obviously the crowd and thousands of adoring fans didn't have a clue that being in that venue, on that particular night, was a part of something incredibly historic and emotional.
The band gathered together for one final huddle. Harry off to the side slightly, head in his hands as he composed himself.
Be brave Harry.
He took a deep breath before rushing over to the huddle. Ducking underneath Mitch and Sarah's arms. He looked around at everyone. His band. His team. His friends.
Clearing his throat he geared himself up for a little speech. The crowd chanting and screaming in the background.
"I uhh... I just wanted to say to you all. For the uhh... for the last..." he stopped to compose himself.
"Come on boss man we've got a show to do!" Pauli joked with glossy eyes, sensing they needed to ease the tension.
Harry chuckled softly and glanced over, hoping Pauli knew how thankful he was.
"Thank you. Thank you for being here for all these years. For trusting me. For... for letting me share your incredible talents with the world. You're all... all incredible musicians but also incredible human beings and I love... love you all." He took a big deep breath and then coughed into his elbow.
Sarah. Mitch. Elin. Ariza. Pauli. Yaffra.
The Love Band."Also to those who have moved on to brighter and bigger things... I thank you as well."
He thought about everyone he's ever played with in the band. All the way back to his first solo performance.Mitch rubbed a soothing hand on his shoulder as Sarah squeezing reassuringly on the other side.
"Let's do this."
.....
Shay was a mess. She could barely keep it together throughout the show.
Knowing that so many people around her could probably tell something was off, however she couldn't help the emotions take over her.
A couple of people had noticed and Shay knew there would be lots of speculation after the show and over the next coming days.
Harry however, was not letting anything stop him from putting on the best show. The best, last show.
"How're we feeling Tokyo?" Harry called out. A cheeky grin plastered on his face.
The crowd erupted into screams, cheering and yelling.
"I just wanted to say... before starting this next one. This song started all of this solo business for me."
Once again the crowd cheered."It's a song that I hold very close to my heart and I know all of you out there do also."
He paused to look out into the crowd, his eyes glossing over as he realised the impact this song would have soon."There's uhmm... there's one particular lyric that will really... really resonate tonight I feel."
The crowd was gripped by his words. Almost silent apart from a few cheers and yells.
"Wow it got super quiet in here all of a sudden?!" Harry chuckled and glanced around at the band with a smirk.
"I feel kinda vulnerable now Uhhm.." He laughed into the mic causing the crowd to break the silence.
