The internet collapsed, social media was rife with hysteria and excitement. Fans all around the world were crying, smiling and screaming at the news.
"Jeez.. my Twitter won't even load anymore!" Shay exclaimed, she was trying to open up the app but it just kept crashing.
"The power of Directioners!" Niall called, throwing his arms in the air for emphasis.
"You well and truly broke the internet boys. Well done!" Heather joined in. Her voice was laced with sass.
"Technically it wasn't us though was it? It was you crazy bunch." Harry corrected her.
Shay sent a Harry a glare. He cleared his throat.
"Crazy but passionate. And did I also say beautiful" He leaned over and planted a kiss onto her cheek.
"Smooth." Shay replied with a cheeky smile.
Harry looked at over at Niall and mouthed out a "phew." To which Niall chuckled.
They gathered in the Horan's garden. Seated on one of the benches.
Isla was on her play-mat on the grass. Wriggling and squirming around. Haley and Angus were playing together, running around giggling. They stopped occasionally to lie with Isla and talk to her.
"Are you both ready for this?" Heather asked now. Glancing between the two boys.
Niall and Harry looked at each other and smirked.
"Ready as we'll ever be."

"So Niall, why the sudden change of heart? Everyone had given up hope of you boys coming back. Why now?" The interviewer asked.
Niall listened intently as he looked at his phone screen. He was on an Instagram Live doing some promo for the reunion. All the boys were doing promo separately until the big day. Obviously they'd had photo shoots and interviews which had been released but it felt special that the first time the fans saw them together again would be on the night.
"I wouldn't say it was a change of heart. We were all just so caught up that it was never really talked about. Everyone had their busy lives and we could never get together to organise something. Until now of course."
"Right that's understandable. I mean all five of you have had amazing success and an outpouring of support ever since the hiatus. How does it feel to have everyone back together? I imagine it's a surreal feeling?"
Niall continued to listen. A small smile on his face as he thought about the question.
