Y/n stared at her phone in horror.

Not a lot of people were very into anime.

Majority thought of it as a kids shows and others even judged the community based on how the media presented the art form.

So upon hearing her phones ringtone, which was the opening to Norigami...

Y/n was most definitely done for.

At least in her eyes she was...

"Y/n you-"

"Nope!" The smaller girl yelled in panic, completely cutting off the grape.

Thankfully the opening didn't last long..

But it only started back up again when Grace and Zen had continued calling the poor girl.

"You should pick that up"

Maru said with a smile.

She meant no harm, nobody did...

But Y/n wasn't taking any risks when her high school experience with anime was a wreck.

She looked to Maru in embarrassment, her face was a bright red she was nearly the same colour as a tomato.

Y/n, after a while of holding in her breath, exhaled deeply and stood up with her phone.

Before she could walk outside to see what her friends had wanted, Abigail took hold of her shirt sleeve.

"Pick it up here I wanna see where this goes"

Y/n hesitated at the idea.

It was Zen and Gracie calling.

Complete dorks who knew every aspect of her life...

If the two were to slip up and say something personal, it would take Y/n a very long time to answer any of their calls with others nearby.

She sighed one last time before answering the call.

Her nerves relaxed when hearing the ringtone stop.

Though it didn't last long considering both Zen and Gracie had yelled out to her in what sounded like a mixture of anger and worry.

The phone sat in the middle of the coffee table while on speaker.

"Y/N!"

She flinched painfully at the volume before uttering a response.

"What's up?"

"Why didn't you pick up I was worried!"

Grace yelled, her words picking up its pace.

"I was uh.. farming"

"I thought you died or something you usually pick up so fast"

Y/n always felt bad whenever Grace sulked.

It seemed to happen a lot more now than it did back in previous years.

She was a lot quieter back then...

Zen and Y/n grew up having to protect Grace from others as she was 'an easy target' to insult and harass.

Y/n had cared a lot for her.. way more than anybody could just for a best friend.

Then again, they were more like sisters than they ever were just friends.

"Sorry I was just a little busy"

"Work is so lonely and boring without you I only had Zen to keep me from going insane with all the work the boss passed onto us"

They must've had a lot to deal with after losing an employee, but that doesn't always mean they couldn't just replace Y/n with another.
