Rolling down her curtains and shutting off her lights, Abigail lit some candles to set the mood, adding affect to the scenery and unfortunately; more fear for Sam.

In his hands, was a ouija board Y/n lent to Abigail not too long ago. They were hanging out one day and the topic of paranormal activity came up in their conversation.

They bonded over their shared love for occult-related things, shows, myths, movies, documentaries...

Hoping to try it out with her, Y/n had eventually lent the board over instead after getting a secret task assigned by the mayor. Abby kept it in her drawer, looking for someone to use it with, and when Sam had agreed to; jokingly of course... she took the opportunity when it came.

Sam, on the other hand, was regretting even joking around about agreeing to play with spirits knowing Abigail would suck him into it whether he liked it or not. He stood paralyzed by her closed bedroom door as he watched her ready for the board. "Um... why are we doing this again?" Stammered Sam.

Abigail paused to watch a bead of sweat drip down his neck and she chuckled at him. "Why? You scared?" she mused. With her hands on her hips, she waited for a reply.

Sam shook his head and glanced down at the board in his hand before stepping forwards to settle down in a spot comfortable. "Nope, not at all." he sighed. Abigail scoffed lightly and sat down across from him, clapping her hands together. "Alright then! Let's get started,"

Abby explains what they had to do to greet the spirits if there were any.

"Are there any spirits with us here?" She begins after they circled the planchette around the number of times needed. Sam could feel his hands sweat upon hovering over the board and he stilled them when he began trembling. Closing his eyes, he breathes sharply through his teeth when it moves to 'yes."

Abigail's eyes widen and Sam grunts at her. "Cut that out." he sneered and Abigail casts her eyes to him with alarm.

"It's not me Sam, quit joking around!"

Samson searched for a hint in her expression, one that could prove that she was messing with him. But to his dismay, he found only genuine eyes laid on his. "Fine then. I'll ask the 'spirit' a question and I have to be able to see your fingers hovering ok Abi?" Sam suggested.

Abigail nodded hesitantly, and Sam watched the way her fingers lightened their hold above the planchette. He sighed out and waited, pondering what he should ask.

"What are we both thinking of right now?"

Instantly, Sam's mind went straight to the first thing it could search for to think of. Embarrassingly so, it drifted to the farmer. Abigail's eyes were closed, proving more of a point to her suggestion that there was indeed a spirit in there with them.

Sam's eyes lurked with the planchette, cautious, for it began spelling out the individual letters of Y/n's name. Gravitating back towards the middle, Sam expected more answers for what Abigail had been thinking of, but instantly, he realized that Abigail was also mesmerized with Y/n. Enough to be the first choice in choosing what to get lost in when somebody tells you to.

"Uh, c-can we end this please?" Said Sam uncomfortably. Abigail opened her eyes to search his.

She could tell a line was crossed in their game. "Yeah sure," said Abby guiltily. She explained how these usually ended and together they said goodbye to whatever spirit had read their minds. Uncomfortably so, they began to clean up in silence.
