The morning after
Muscles aching, Sebastian picked up the weight of his body to analyze his surroundings, eyes adjusting as his vision blurred less and less. To his quick realization, he'd been sleeping uncomfortably on a mattress next to Sam and Alex, several bodies in slumber laid anywhere there was space.
There was only one he cared for though, turning around he stared up at Y/n. She was cuddled up against the couch arms as she sat up in her seat, a thin blanket that gave her little to no heat over the night.
Sebastian cringed, seeing as her posture would be greatly impacted on her sleeping position. Getting up steadily, he sat down next to her, pulling her in so her head could rest on his shoulder.
He continued to peer around the room, Maru and Abigail passed out in the kitchen with blankets wrapped around their bodies.
He could only guess Haley went back to her room, seeing as her bedroom door was closed when he had finally awoken. Y/n shifted in her sleep, alarming Sebastian with her abrupt movement.
He smiled, watching her head roll off his shoulder before putting it back.
She looked scared.. maybe she was having a nightmare.
Sebastian had to admit, she looked kind of cute...
He smiled briefly, feeling her move once again, he closed his eyes and let her wake in his presence. "Ah, shit.." he could hear her say. He could almost smile at her reaction but held it back in fear of being found out.
"Sorry Seb.. you must've been uncomfortable all night" Y/n sighed. He felt her hands brush away the hair from his face, her fingertips rough and calloused from the hard labour she has to put up with when her occupation was so difficult.
Opening his eyes, he watched her dazed expression turn into one of surprise. "Y-you're awake.." she confirmed, although Sebastian was sure she meant it as a question.
"I only got up like two minutes ago" he chuckled softly, his throat rasping with the morning, a dry state he always woke to.
Y/n smiled at his response, shifting in her spot as she stared at him for a second. Sebastian could only stare back, eyes casting towards the way she leaned in so her shoulder would nudge against his, her knees tucked into her chest poking at his side. A warm tingling feeling rushed against his cheeks. Just then, Y/n's eyes followed the shuffling from the kitchen, turning her focus over to Abigail who had sat up from her position on the floor.
"Ah.. we shouldn't have drank so much..." the purple-haired girl groaned, taking out three cold bottles of water from the fridge before trudging over weakly to the couch where Sebastian and Y/n had been.
Sitting down next to Sebastian, opposite side of Y/n, she tossed the two their own bottles and they thanked her for the gift. Even if they'd been able to stand up themselves, their legs were simply too weak to walk properly; jello-like.
Sebastian didn't drink much, he didn't even have a hangover like the others most likely did.. but either way, he needed to soothe his throat from that morning's cold air.
Simultaneously, the three woken members of their little millennial party of the town took a swig of their water. It was refreshing to the tongue, washing away the bitter morning breath that was unforgiving and nasty to the taste. They wanted nothing more than to brush their teeth and clean out their mouths to rid of any aftertastes.
Sebastian looked to his sides to glance at the two women, both scowling and holding their heads in aching pain from their horrible decisions the night before. He laughed at the duo, for he was safe from the hangover feeling and could recall every moment of last night; unlike some people...
He remembered playing cup pong, dares beneath the cups which were thought of and picked out by none other than Maru, Y/n and him. A strong trio of secret sadists who had punishments embarrassing yet easy for one to do.
One of the dares was to go into the riverbank and find a Joja cola to mix with alcohol. Sam had gotten that one and of course, for sanitary reasons, the person had only needed to take one sip. But Sam had been in love with Joja cola and decided to finish the entire can.
Surely he was to be sick the next day...
Sebastian could also recall Y/n having to give Haley a hickey. That memory was left bitterly in the back of his head, unknowingly scowling at the blonde beauty for the rest of the night in foreign jealousy.
Part of the beer pong game he did enjoy though, was having to go against Y/n almost all the time. She was good at it, he had to admit. But each time he scored a ball into a cup, Y/n would whine and complain. Giving Sebastian an upper hand at teasing remarks. He liked the way she'd bite back, also enjoying the times she only pouted with defeat.
At one point he could remember her spiking the ball way past him, leaving the group in laughter from the aggression put into her throw. Sebastian had never felt so comfortable doing something so social like beer pong... Y/n eased him into it that way.

For the remainder of that morning, the group had awoken with what felt like the worst hangovers of the century. Emily and Haley cleaning up their trashed home, Alex and Maru decided to head off.
Sebastian, Sam and Abigail though, insisted they visited Y/n's to meet her cat and help her out considering she was on the verge of puking her liver out into a bush somewhere on her farm.
They walked down the path to the forest towards Marnie's ranch. Sebastian walked beside Sam, occasionally listening to the girls behind him talk and converse in their own aching pain.
On the way, they met with Shane. He'd caught Y/n as she tripped over a branch, holding onto her wrist which she snatched away from him immediately. She was subtle with it but that didn't keep Shane and Sebastian from noticing her sudden guilt and worry.
She apologized for her clumsiness and spoke with him briefly, Abigail having to explain why they were so screwed over that morning. Shane let out a huff of amusement finding out Y/n had ended up drinking enough vodka to die from yet still kicking the next day. Well... not necessarily kicking, but somewhat stable enough to call impressive.
"Hey, women. Sorry to break it to you but Sam is on the verge of tears" Sebastian suddenly interrupted, a hand on Sam's back as he held his head in his hands with pure agony. The headache he was having had to be one of the worst he's ever been through and all he wanted was to lay in the comfort of Y/n's farm and rest.
Although half of Sebastians intentions were to help his bud out, he was only looking for a way out of the selfish feeling he had over watching Y/n talk so Softly with Shane.
Maybe it was simply the guilt ripping at her for pulling away so abruptly when he had done nothing but assist her up from her fall. But either way, Sebastian hadn't cared. He just wanted out of there.
A horrible feeling rushed over him when they left, mixing with the one I relief when Y/n had continued forwards without a second thought of Shane. Sebastian couldn't lie, he was irritated with himself for caring so much about his childhood friend; crush.
But he was at a disadvantage with his feelings and no matter the reward, he could never tell Y/n about them.
It was his pride stopping him from instant regret.
They'd only reunited recently, and Y/n had barely any memory of him either. If he was going to tell her about how she makes him feel warm inside, how she gives him butterflies.. He sure as hell would not be doing it any time soon.
Sebastian was too worried like that...
