TW: Mentions of blood, relapse, self-harm

Thirty-five minutes after Y/n left the luau

After a painfully long twenty minutes of attempting to cut in each time this random stranger took a breath, Sebastian had finally gotten away from her. He was uncomfortable and if he was being honest, a little grossed out.

After her friends left them alone to 'mingle,' she talked non-stop shit about every single person in the valley, mostly women.

She whispered harshly about any girls who passed by, talking about how pretty they are but would've been prettier if they lost a couple of pounds. He found it disgusting but he doesn't say anything as he daydreams. Recalling back to when Y/n would gush about how much she adored belly rolls and everything about people plus-sized. She'd call them beautiful and worship those with the body type as she found them alluring and god-like.

Everything good that Y/n was, this girl was not. Even Y/n's flaws were somehow human, but the venom that leaked from the stranger's lips was nothing but toxic.

Eventually, he pried himself away, deleting her number off his phone and slathering himself with hand sanitizer and lotion. He sat with his mother and half-sibling, listening to the governor's satisfied cheers as he found the soup excruciatingly delicious this year. Hinting at a taste of wine. Sebastian smiles knowing it had been Y/n's asset and he spends a good five minutes peering around the beach to find her conversations. But when he can't find her, he spends another ten searching for her on his two feet.

Just then it hits him.

He remembers when they spoke yesterday. It was about how she struggled a lot recently to get up in the morning, feeling quite restless and upset.

But he didn't know just how deep those emotions could go for Y/n.

She really tried today even though it took a lot of motivation.

He remembers the way she looked when he peered over at her, her eyes distant and gloomy, hands busied as she takes off her necklace and places it in her bag.

Fuck.

How could it have slipped his mind?

He wanted to see how she was feeling but he got caught up in running away from the girl that he had gotten sidetracked from his initial task.

Looking around, he wonders if he should look for her beyond the beach alone. It may be a bad idea if he'd gone solo, so he selects only people who could be calm and collected about this situation.

Neither Abigail nor Sam was capable of holding in their emotions, and his mother, not so much either when it came to the L/n family...

"Maru." Sebastian grabs their wrist and pulls them up from the picnic blanket, leading them away.

"Could you get Shane so the two of you could help me look for Y/n? She left a while ago and hasn't come back."

He quickly makes a group chat on the Pelican Town Page, their town's social media site, adding Maru and Shane into it so he could keep in contact if he needed.

Maru is confused but they agree with a nod and a whisper, "yeah... yeah sure- you go, I'll go get Shane." They mumble, turning to search for Shane.
