Chapter 10: Battle Training

Willow POV

It's been a week since we were in the healers den and now we are finally back in training. I walk out of the den with my siblings. I see Frost waiting at the barrier for us. Where are we going today I asked? Today we are going to the place where battle training is she said. Then she turned and walked through the thorn barrier only to leave us to follow. When we reach a sandy floor she said this is where we will train today. OK Smokey I want you to go first, I want you to do the battle moves you know. He nodded and got into position. He rushed at her and she stiffened to block the blow but at last minute he ran left and rammed her flank. She tried to swipe at him but he dodged and got under her and pushed his claws into her stomach. Enough she said and he got up and walked over to us and sat. OK Ocean your next. Ocean then got into position as well and with her nod he ran into the bushes. To leave Frost to look for him. When she looked on direction he came up behind her and jumped on her back. She then flipped over and he got off at last minute. She called a stop after a few more minutes. OK Willow your next. I nodded and got into position. She nodded and I rushed forward and jumped high enough where she could not swipe for me and landed on her back. She rolled over but I jumped off just in time and spun around and jumped on her open underbelly we rolled around in the sand till she managed to over power me but I kicked be hind leg and jumped back on her and managed to over power her like she did me. Enough she called. I got off her and went next to my siblings. You all did very good for your first time. But here is some things you can work on. Smokey you need to work on your swipe to be more centered cause if they dodge your swipe fast enough they could go for the kill. He nodded at her to show he acknowledged. Ocean you need to work on confronting cause you do not always have time to have cover in battle. He nodded as well. Now Willow she contiued you need to work on your strenghth If you did not have enough strenghth in that kick to throw me off I could have went for the kill. I nodded to show I understood. All right that is enough battle training it's time to head back the sun is setting. I was shocked at how fast time passed. But I stood and started back to camp with my siblings. I thought you two was pretty good I told them. You to Smokey told me I could not even jump that high. We all did well Ocean said but I have to say that was a high jump he smiled at me before we entered through the barrior. I went to the fresh kill pill and got a dove and walked over to Flame and smiled and sat next to him. He smiled at me and we talked till the stars started coming out and we buried our bones and went into the apprentice den and fell asleep next to each other listening to our hearts.
