"It will be more fun and merrier if Ayumu can join us, here." Aran said before took a gulp of his drinks. His fellow third years friends could only smile and nodded. Kita by his side didn't say anything except, giving short congrating speech to the team after the coach was. Now, the team was at the restaurant, celebrating their winning for getting the first place of the prelim and as the representative of Hyogo for the upcoming Spring Tournament.

"At least, Miya kept her words to stay with us until we receive our award." Omimi added.
"Yeah. Thankfully, we really made it." Akagi smiled before he turned towards Kita." Do ya think Miya will be fine, Shinsuke?"

Kita gazed at him for a brief moment as he picked up a bite size of rice using his chopstick. "Miya is stronger than we know. She will be fine." He said and took a bite after that.

Ayumu left to Miyagi just like how she had planned. However, she wasn't left the team soon the ceremony ended after all. As she came to the venue with the team so she came back to the school with the team too. Eventhough her heart was pumping hard against her chest, she could not ditch her responsibility as Inarizaki's manager. She helped the members to bring out the things from the bus towards the school gym and gave proper treatment to whom needed. Once she finished all of that, she took her leave. It was ashamed that she could not join the team dinner as well their celebration but she really needed to go.

Aside of feeling scared by burnt the ticket or missed the train, Kita could feel her eagerness to meet her upperclassman from Aoba Johsai. Who was Kita to stop her from leaving if both of her twin brothers didn't even do that so? Looking at how soft smile on her face as she waved her hands towards the team members whenever her father picked her up, Kita somehow almost forgot how broken she looked the day before.

Everything was going well on the first day of prelim spring tournament. Smile was bright on her face, her cheery voice as she brought the members spirit up and the happy tears visible whenever Inarizaki was confirmed to go for the second day. During the whole day, Ayumu barely with her phone and Kita noticed that. Even during their break before Inarizaki moved to the next game, she didn't try to peek over her phone.

It was kinda odd of her, knowing it was the same day as Aoba Johsai's game, wasn't she kinda curious or worried? During the journey to go back to school after the game also, Ayumu didn't look at her phone. Until, they arrived the school, picked up things from the bus and the members left to changing roomㅡleaving Ayumu alone at the gym. The time whenever the member came back with their stuff from the changing room to the gym, Kita was the first one who arrived at the gym door step. Since the members followed a little later than him, they stopped on their track whenever they saw Kita did not enter the gym.

By the look of sadness on his face, the members no need to have a long moment to realise what was that for. Atsumu and Osamu instantly rushed towards the door as Kita finally entered the gym. The gym was pin drop silence but it broken down by Ayumu's sorrowful cry. That enough made her brothers to stop on their feet, had no energy to move further. Enough by entering the gym but not taking any steps towards their sister.

Ayumu was sitting on the court floor, knees up to her chest with her back leaned against the wall. She held her phone tightly, looking at Kita through her glassy eyes. Tears poured down on her face like waterfall. Kita was kneeling infront of her, holding side of her face as well his thumb wiped the tears away.

     "K-Kita. . . A-Aoba Jo-h-sai..." she croacked out. "Th-they didn't m-make it."

___

Kita already on his bed, lying on his side where his nightstand on his view. He kept on glancing towards his phone by the nightstand, waiting for nothing particular. He wanted to text her but at the same time, he felt like he should not. Nonetheless, he still snatched his phone and sat up on his bed, leaning effortlessly against the headboard.
