Lucia focused on trying to absorb mana from the environment to reduce the reliance on the mana crystals. Basically entering something like a meditation, it was much easier when she was sitting still compared to walking. 

'I wonder why I find it so easy to pull in mana. I guess the owner of the dungeons gave me this knowledge as well when they gave me the knowledge to use my powers.' Lucia mused briefly before clearing her mind.

 She was able to pull in enough mana alongside her regular mana regeneration to reach her limit. After about an hour, she noticed that Aegis was waking and had also reached tier 2. Aegis sat up and checked the sky only to see the stars were hidden behind clouds. 

Aegis glanced at Lucia who was smiling at him and so he smiled back. "Having a good night?" 

"So so." Lucia's smile grew wider as she softly laughed. "Only one day and both you and Vicki are tier 2. I've got my work cut out for me."

"You don't seem troubled by it." Aegis chuckled. Though Lucia sounded like she was complaining about their fast growth, that smile on her face showed how proud and happy she was for them.

"I'm tired, it's my turn to sleep." Lucia walked over and offered a hand to help Aegis up.

"Alright, let's trade places then." Aegis stood up with Lucia's help and then spun her around and helped her lay down while they were firmly grasping each other's hands. 

"That was fun." Lucia stared blankly while it was happening, then started giggling once she felt her back touch the ground.

"Where is Vicki?" Aegis asked as he glanced around.

"She's stretching her wings. She said she wouldn't fly too far, but who knows with her." Lucia shrugged.

"Alright, sleep well Lucia." Aegis nodded and picked up the practice stick to start swinging.

"Good night." Lucia said in reply as she turned on her side with her back to the fire. She tried pulling in some more mana until her body triggered the evolution state and forced her to sleep.

The night passed by peacefully. In the morning as the sun rose over the trees, the people slowly woke up and started moving around. They ate some food, and started packing their stuff. Calvin wanted to go play with Lucia, but since she was still sleeping, Amanda dissuaded him. Amanda, Eric, and Lyle all realized that Lucia was evolving to tier 2. Then they saw Aegis had also reached tier 2. 

Other than Lyle, the others were all surprised when Vicki descended next to Aegis while carrying a red furred rabbit. "Aegis, look what I caught? Do you think Lucia will like it's taste?"

Vicki's question sounded like excited chirping to the normal humans.

"Yes, I think Lucia will like rabbit. Since this is a life type, then the core should be for you then. Good catch." Aegis patted Vicki on the head. Vicki stepped off the rabbit so Aegis could go bleed and skin it as he grabbed the skinning knife from his bag.

Vicki puffed up with pride as she walked quietly next to Lucia and nestled against her arms.

"Uh, that fire hawk..." Eric started to speak when Lyle grabbed his shoulder.

"It's their pet. I saw it when it woke up last night. Lucia had been carrying it in her shirt. It seems friendly right now, but it will act aggressively if you act threateningly towards them. It also doesn't seem to like strangers." Lyle explained to the group.

Eric nodded to indicate he understood, but his suspicions about these kids only grew. Wearing the clothes of the first ancestors, having a fire hawk as a pet, talking to animals, and the ability to make contracts. 'Wait a second...'
