Lucia crawled up from the ground and left the hut to see a villager standing guard outside. He was shocked to see her awake.

"You, you're okay?" He asked.

"Yes, where is Jay?" Lucia rushed the man for an answer.

"You being knocked out was punishment for insulting the priest, and for you to wake up... Jay had to go to the Priest's hut for retribution..." The man answered shakily. Lucia ran at a speed faster than she ever could towards Mickey's hut on the south side of the village. Everyone seemed surprised to see her awake, but she didn't care, she grit her teeth and ran faster. The guards outside Mickey's hut seemed to be whispering to each other and didn't notice Lucia until she shoved past them and burst into the large hut. She found Jay curled in a corner with her hands tied. Mickey loomed over her with a thin but long stick used for whipping in his hand. Lucia instantly grew angry as she grabbed Mickey by the back of his neck and lifted him into the air with one hand and removed the stick from his grasp with the other.

"Who, who's there? How dare you treat me like this?!" Mickey gasped for air while questioning the person manhandling him. Jay looked wide eyed in shock at Lucia with joy and relief.

"Who do you think? You dirty conman! You actually dared to use such a random event to trick people!" Lucia growled as she threw him to the ground while holding back to avoid killing him. Mickey shouted in pain when he hit the ground and rolled for a bit. Lucia helped Jay stand up and untie the ropes.

"Thank goodness you're okay Lucia." Jay sighed as she hugged Lucia in relief.

"I should say the same to you." Lucia smiled as she hugged Jay back. They quickly released the hug as the guards who got knocked over by Lucia's shove finally made it into the hut. Once again receiving shocked gazes.

"Come on, we're leaving." Lucia started to walk towards the exit, but the guards held their staves towards her to bar her. Lucia grabbed the ends of their staves and lifted them off the ground a tad and walked out of the hut like that. Unsurprisingly, a crowd waited outside after following the swiftly running Lucia from earlier. They all gasped in amazement as they saw the seen of Lucia walking out. As soon as Lucia heard whispers of this being a gift from the priest she scowled.

"This is not a gift from that conman of a priest! I got this power from..." Lucia hesitated to tell the truth for once... She thought hard about how to explain reuniting with her split soul. "A gift from the planet for being a decent person and standing up to this liar of a priest." Lucia finally decided to say. The most important thing was that none of the credit could go to Mickey. Jay who finally understood that the strength Lucia displayed was abnormal, gazed at her with amazed and jealous eyes. Lucia put the men down, since actually lifting them was quite straining, even with the strength received from her game character. They were around three hundred and fifty pounds between the two of them.

"In time I'm sure we'll all get powers, so my suggestion is don't let this conman trick us into giving him the best of everything! Has he even used his powers to aid us once yet after we accepted him?" Lucia spoke to the crowd to vent her frustration. Of course mumbling and conversation broke out among the people. Mickey who heard the commotion peeked out of the hut and realized he would loose his favorable status if he didn't act soon.

"I, I'm sorry everyone. I got too selfish from your generous treatment, I'll do my best for everyone from now on!" Mickey promised to the people while covered in dirt and holding his arm that he fell on. He looked quite pitiful at the moment. Lucia looked and saw that he had already healed himself so he was pretending to be weak and hurt. More conversing could be heard as the people started to accept Mickey again. Lucia rolled her eyes under her bangs as she sighed.

"Let's get you home? Or do you want something to eat Jay?" Lucia whispered to Jay who was standing beside her.

"I... want to go home, but home doesn't exist anymore. So let's go to the hut I share with my dad." Jay said suddenly dejected and depressed. Lucia sighed, something that happened caused Jay to socially shut down again. Lucia led the way through the crowd with a now shy and trembling Jay behind her. When they neared the hut Jay broke into a run and ran inside while wrapping a deer hide around to hide herself, though not as well as a blanket would have. Lucia sighed as she knew Jay probably wouldn't leave the hut for a couple days. It's better now than before Earth's reset, back then she just wouldn't leave the house and would just play games and complain about her dad and people.

"Jay..." Lucia tried to think of what to say, but she'd never been able to coax Jay once she got like this and she still had a lot she wanted to talk about.

"Why you?" Jay grumbled from the corner.

"What?"

"Why did only you get the powers? Why is it always you who is superior to me? Games, school, athletics even though you're fatter than me! Why!?" Jay shouted and Lucia could see in the dim light peaking in that her eyes were red rimmed.

'It's because you never leave your box of self pity...' Lucia thought and sighed, "Perhaps-"

"I'm just the unluckiest person on Earth. All the world's bad luck converges on me and I bet you're the one taking any good luck that I would get! Leave me alone! Go away! I don't want to be friend's with you anymore!" Jay roared hysterically while she stifled her sobs. Lucia felt hurt and angry and decided to share a piece of her mind.

"Wasn't it always you who would decide what we would do together or when we would hang out? I suggested several times things we could do and you would shoot them down till it was convenient for you. Weren't we always using my game systems, computers, and car to do things? I'd even go out of my way to help you go places since you didn't want to learn to drive. I'd buy you food when you didn't want to leave the house. Thinking back you were just using me like my ex boyfriend was! You complain about me when you don't even try to help yourself! At least when I was verbally abused by my extended family they were in successful careers and able to take care of themselves!" Lucia spoke angrily in a moderated tone then stomped the ground and ran out of the town to the forest. Several people she passed were shocked at the speed she passed by with.

Lucia knew that Jay wouldn't care about anything she said, she didn't even understand why she stayed friends with someone who wouldn't even try to help themselves...

'If Jay no longer wants to be friends... Then I have no reason to stay in this village.' Lucia rashly decided.
