As per usual, Lucia pulled out the note first to read it before looking over the items. It described a ring that helped people detect mana, a necklace that increased mana absorption from the environment, and a bracelet that would block one attack on the wearer per day. They were all simple silver accessories with no gems or detail work.
"I know who these would be useful for." Lucia smiled as she put them away in her space and started to head back to the others.
"What are those?" Rikit asked.
"Enchanted accessories that have special effects for those that wear them." Lucia explained briefly.
"Can I wear them?"
"Well, with your body size constantly changing, and being perfectly round, these would likely slip off very frequently, or not fit at all." Lucia was troubled by this as she thought 'it is truly difficult to find snake friendly equipment...'
"Awe, oh well." Rikit looked dejected as his head drooped.
"I'll try think of an alternative to them for you Rikit." Lucia said to comfort Rikit.
"Really? I'll look forward to it!" Rikit cheered up quickly.
The way back was peaceful and by the time they got to the stair room where the others were waiting, the water was already half drained.
"We're back." Lucia called up to them.
"Why is the water disappearing?" Ray asked.
At the same time, Vicki jumped off the stairs. Lucia raised up her hands and caught Vicki.
"Welcome back!" Vicki said while swinging her tail back and forth.
"The water is disappearing because we beat the floor boss. We can go to the next floor when Aegis wakes up." Lucia explained as she climbed the stairs and sat down. "I'm going to recover my mana."
"Okay!" Vicki laid down on Lucia's lap while Rikit continued to lounge on her shoulders.
Ray looked at Lucia and thought, 'Is she an animal magnet or something?'
"Oh right. Here Ray, these are for you." Lucia suddenly remembered and passed him the ring, necklace, bracelet, and note describing what they do.
Ray quickly read the note and looked at Lucia in disbelief, "These are really for me?"
"Yeah, Rikit and I already have good mana detection, I have good mana absorption, and you are the one in greatest danger. I also think the mana detection will help you with learning how to absorb and use mana." Lucia explained.
"Thank you..." Ray was shocked, but he equipped the items anyway and sat back down to train.
This continued for a few hours until Aegis finally stirred. He opened his eyes first to analyze the situation before finally sitting up and stretching.
"Did you guys beat the floor boss?" Aegis asked when he saw the water below the stairs had disappeared.
"Yep, found it on accident. They used an illusion to make me think it wasn't the boss room, but I should have still noticed from the room's odd shape." Lucia explained while sounding slightly upset. Then in an energetic voice she continued, "However, the fight itself was great. I learned quite a bit about what I'm lacking."
"That's good." Aegis nodded then looked at Rikit with a brief moment of confusion. "Ah, Ricky is here."
"Ricky?" Lucia asked as she glanced at Rikit.
"I mean Rikt." Aegis laughed nervously.
"Is that an attempt at a joke?" Lucia chuckled.
"Probably..." Aegis laughed again.
