Chapter 16

February 2020 

Harry placed down the bags of alcohol on the counter in Simon and JJ's kitchen, making a horrible clanging noise. 

"Fuck sake bog, how much booze did you bring?" Ethan called from the couch 

"Enough" Harry replied

The boys were getting ready for a party in the flat and Harry and Ethan had shown up earlier than most to begin earlier. Harry played some music on the TV and poured himself a drink, screwing up his face at the initial bitter taste. 

"Take it Livs coming with the girls then yeah?" Ethan asked taking a sip of his beer

"Yeah, they're at Gee's or something. Not gonna lie mate I wasn't really listening, she's kinda been doing my head in recently" Harry sighed

"What's up?" Ethan asked

"I dunno man, her best friend from back home is pregnant and like I can't help but think she's kinda jealous or something? and she keeps talking about wanting to go home more to be there with her but I'm trying to tell her there's no point in that when she'd still be paying rent in London and have her job here" Harry said

"I don't really understand girls, to be honest with you. Do you think she wants a baby?" Ethan questioned 

"Dear God, I hope not" Harry scoffed

"Dealing with you is like dealing with a child already" Ethan pointed out

Harry rubbed his eyes "I wish she would just tell me what's up instead of being so passive-aggressive sometimes, it's an absolute nightmare, she's always been like this. Even when we were in school. One time I fell asleep and didn't reply to her text and she made digs at me for two weeks before she even cracked a light"

Ethan widened his eyes and shrugged "Just gonna need to ask her" 

"Going to need a lot more of this then," Harry said, gesturing toward his glass

The girls sat in Gee's living room and chatted, sipping drinks. Gee stood behind Olivia curling the back parts of her hair. 

"What time is it and when are the ubers coming?" Freya shouted 

Talia glanced at her phone"10 past 9 and 15 minutes, Simon keeps texting me asking when we're coming" she called

"Oh fuck" Olivia said grabbing her cup from the table and draining it, holding it out toward Freya for her to pour more into it

"Steady on girl" Freya laughed as she poured another drink which Olivia quickly downed 

"Whats up Liv?" Gee asked, a hint of concern in her tone

"Ugh. Harry, I told you about my friend Jess that's having the baby yeah?" 

"Yeah" the girls chorused 

"Okay, so I mentioned wanting to go home more often because I just want to be there for her and he's been so weird about it. I don't know what's up with him, It's like I mentioned the word pregnant and he suddenly thinks I want a baby"

"Do you?" Talia asked 

"No! I genuinely just want to be there for my friend and he's acting like I want to move back home" 

"Boys" Freya rolled her eyes 

"Car's outside let's go" Talia announced, getting to her feet 

The party was in full swing by the time the girls had arrived and they struggled to even find the boys in the crowd of people that were there. Olivia scanned the room for Harry but couldn't find him so sat down beside Tobi who was sitting on the couch talking to Ethan and Freezy.
