Josh POV
I wake up the next morning and Colleen is still sleeping. I crawl out of bed and hop in the shower and get dressed. I start to pack my stuff up and then continue to do Colleens. We both have to leave for the airport at the same time but are on two different flights. I hear her stir in bed with a slight moan. I sit beside her and rub her cheek. "My stomach is so upset" she says." Whats wrong babe?" I ask her. "Stomach is not happy" she says as she rolls over. I look at her. "Pregnant?" I say. "No Josh I got my period in the middle of the night. It is like a stomach bug" she says. She gets up and goes to the bathroom. She comes back and lays down again. She is pale. She has diarrhea so she takes some meds. "We have an hour and a half before we need to be at the airport. Should we take you to a doctor Colleen?" I say rubbing her back. "I can't leave you like this" I add. "No Josh its a stomach bug babe" she says."Don't worry about me" she says. "I always worry babe" I say. "You are telling me the truth right hun?" I add. "Yes babe" she says and hugs me tight.
Colleen POV
I am not pregnant. I got my period but this stomach issue is bad. I put on a brave face so Josh wont worry. We make our way to the airport and check our bags. Josh wont let go of me. "Colleen you are so sick babe" he says hugging me. "Rachel is here... Don't worry" I say. Rachel nods. "I will take care of her Josh" Rachel says. He nods and kisses me and walks to his gate. "Call me later please ok?" He says. I nod. Rachel and I start walking to the gate. "How bad is it Colleen?" Rachel asks. "Lets just say if we land and I feel this bad we are going to a doctor or hospital" I say.
We get on the flight and Rachel is watching me like a hawk. By the end of the flight I have a fever and Rachel grabs our rental car and we go to the local hospital as I am feeling terrible like my insides are turning inside out."Colleen we need to call Josh" Rachel says. "Just wait to see what the doctor says" I say. We go into the ER and they exam me and run some blood work. My fever is dangerously high. Rachel looks really concerned. The doctor then comes in with the test results and says I have an intestinal and stomach infection. They are going to make me stay overnight to start an IV bag of antibiotics and fluids to keep me hydrated.I nod. The doctor walks out of the room and Rachel says she is calling Josh.
