Colleen pov
I have been home for a week or so and I have made an appt at the doctor. Josh isn't aware that I am having issues. I find I am having huge stomach pains but they still feel like stretching but worse. Also my feet are a mess. I am only 11 weeks so I want to make sure I go to the doctor before going back on tour. I am standing in the kitchen cutting up fruit for Georgia to store in the fridge in containers and I get a pain and lean into the counter and close my eyes. "Colleen whats wrong?" Josh says as he comes out of the bedroom. "Just stretching babe" I say smiling. "Uh huh" he says as he stands behind me and rubs my belly. I lean back into his shoulder. "You need to relax babe" he says. I nod. "I made a doctors appt today" I say. "Ok I am coming" he says. I go and sit on the couch with my cutting knife still in my hand. Josh walks over and sits beside me again rubbing my stomach. It feels better. I hug him.
Slowly we make our way out the door and leave Georgia with the new nanny. He holds my hand til we get to the doctor. I explain to the doctor what I have been experiencing. They check my stomach and measure it. "Colleen I am going to do an ultrasound ok?" She says to me. I nod. I reach for Joshs hand. She rolls it over my stomach. "Ready?" She says. Josh and I nod looking worried. "You are carrying twins Colleen" she says. I start crying and Josh is too as he gets up and hugs me. "Thats why you are having stomach issues" she says."Ok so this complicates things times two. Please take it easy while you are on tour. I would say you should stop touring in 6 weeks tops. Your frame is so small. You will have back problems from the extra weight" she says. I nod. I show her my feet and she nods. "Yup thats typical especially on your frame" she says. "You cannot be on your feet for long periods of time. Also it means you will probably go into labour earlier than December 14th... Usually anytime after 36 weeks is fine" she says. "Okay" I say. She walks out of the room and Josh lifts me up. "I am gonna become useless Josh" I say crying.
Josh POV
"You are having two babies for us. Be as useless as you need to be. You need to grow those babies. You have worked hard for all these years to save money. After the next six weeks are done thats it Colleen" I say hugging her. "We are having twins" I say not believing it crying. She hugs me tight.
We get in the car and she looks up her schedule for her shows. She looks at me. "What?" I say. "They have me booked for the next eight weeks" she says. "Ok do those and thats it, call them now babe" I say. She calls her agent and tells them to not book anymore shows after these eight weeks. She then phones her mom and I hear her mom screaming. I start laughing as Colleen does as well. She calls Rachel and I hear Rachel saying 'better you than me' to her. I hold her hand and we go home to sit down. I take her shoes off and massage her feet even though normally she hates it. She is loving it. I give her a kiss in her belly. Oh my god twins. "Love Florida" I say as we both giggle.
