Colleen POV
Since coming back from Hawaii I have pretty much been on bed rest. The weight is too much for my back. Everyday Josh rubs my back down and wraps it. He even hired a masseuse to give me back massages twice a week. Mine specializes in pregnant women. Today I hear my masseuse come into the house as Josh walks her back to our bedroom and he helps her set up her table. I get up slowly and climb onto the bed with Joshs help. I am at 36.5 weeks and Josh is taking me out for my birthday tonight. My parents are coming to stay over to watch Georgia. As Amy starts rubbing my back out Josh sits beside me holding my hand. "You are almost at the finish line baby" he says as he kisses me. I smile. "You guys are so cute together. How did you meet?" Amy asks. Josh starts telling the story as I lay and listen to him. He gets so happy talking about our love story and it melts my heart. Just as I am relaxing I feel pain shoot from my belly to my lower back. Josh stops his story when he felt me squeeze him. "Colleen?" He says. "You ok?" He asks. "Yup" I say. He continues talking and about 10 minutes later I get another one. I know these pains. "Josh the babies are coming" I say calmly. "I know" he says. "No now " I say. "what??you having contractions babe?" He asks. I smile and say yes. "Amy dont stop please not now" I say as I felt Amy move her hands off of me after I announced about the contractions. "I just want Amy to continue working on my back until they are 5-6 minutes apart" I say. Josh nods.
Josh POV
I am sitting beside Colleen as Amy does her usual back rub to Colleen. She is working through her back to relieve some pressure from the contractions. "Josh call my parents and ask them to come sooner to look after Georgia" Colleen asks me. I jump on my phone and tell Gwen she is getting contractions and to come as soon as she can. "She says they are leaving now babe" I say as I rub Colleens hand. She is tensing up as Amy hits pressure points on her back. Colleen is breathing hard here and there for the seconds the contractions hit. "Amy thank god you are here" Colleen says. "I can stay as long as you need me Colleen" Amy says. "You may be coming to the hospital with me then"Colleen says. "Sure, as long as I am helping" she says. I keep kissing Colleens head. She rolls over to face me with tears in her eyes.I rub her face. "you okay babe?" I ask her. "Just dealing through the pain" she says. "I love you babe" I say and kiss her again. We sit there for another 45 minutes and I hear the doorbell ring. I get up to answer it and its Gwen and Tim. Gwen follows me to the bedroom and crouches down to talk to Colleen. "You okay Colleen? Happy birthday baby !" she says to Colleen. "I am hanging in there mom and thank you" Colleen answers back. I am timing the contractions and they are still 10 minutes apart." Josh I want to cuddle for a bit before we go to the hospital just you and me" Colleen says. Gwen and I help her off the massage table and bring her to the bed. Amy and Gwen leave to sit in the living room and close the door.
"You okay Colleen?" I ask her bringing her close to me. "I love you baby" I say. "Just want hugs baby" she says. I squeeze her tight and hold her through each contraction. "Baby breathe ok Colleen?" I remind her as I rub her back. She is crying into my chest. "Colleen you are amazing honey" I whisper. She leans up and kisses me and immediately after whimpers with a contraction. "Colleen I think we should go to the hospital now babe.The contractions are getting closer together" I say. She nods and I help her slide of the bed. "Oh my god" Colleen screams as she slides down to the floor in pain."we definitely need to go Josh" she says. I grab her a shirt and place it over her head as she is really crying. I get her dressed and I hold her up as we walk to the living room. "Amy come" Colleen says. I am giggling holding her as Amy follows. "Hi Dad" Colleen says to her dad standing in the lIving room. "Bye Colleen, bring home some grandbabies please" Tim says. "Ok" she says but then gets a contraction and squeezes me. I stop and hug her. My poor girl. I put her in the car and Amy jumps in the back.
We get to the hospital and they hook Colleen up. "Amy I need you please" she says and Amy rolls her over onto her side and starts relieving some pressure. I sit on the other side of the bed holding her hands. "Josh you need to pay Amy extra" Colleen says as Amy laughs. "No I am glad if it helps" Amy says and keeps working on her. About 30 minutes later Colleen is balling. Amy isnt helping her anymore so she leaves as we both thank her. The nurse comes and checks her "Colleen you are at a 9 so we are gonna break your water and get you to a 10" she says. Colleens nods and lets them break her water. A few minutes later she is ready to start pushing. "Okay baby come on!" I say to her watching her scream in pain. She pushes as hard as she can and doctor tells her to go again so she does. "Baby#1 is almost here Colleen" the doctor says "one more amazing push" he says to her. Colleen squeezes my hand and basically yells as she pushes. I am kissing her hand."Your baby girl is here Colleen and Josh! Whats her name?" the doctor says as he passes her to the nurse. "Leila Mae" Colleen says. "Beautiful name. Whats this next babys name?" the doctor says. "Noah David" Colleen says again and starts screaming again. "Push baby" I say to her kissing her cheek. "Josh it hurts so bad you need to get him out" she says to me. "You need to do that babe...push Colleen" I say to her as she looks in my eyes.She pushes and I hear Noah cry. I see Colleen lay back and finally breathe. "Baby they are so gorgeous...thank you Colleen" I say to her kissing her lips again and again.
I walk over to the nurses and pick them both up. They are both over 6.5lbs each. "Colleen no wonder your back was in terrible shape .... Thats a lot of baby" I say smiling as I pass her Noah. Colleen is kissing him and looking at Leila. I look at Colleen and kiss her hand. "Babe you did so great" I say."Happy Birthday to all 3 of my babies" I say.
