Colleen POV
It is Christmas morning and Josh and I stayed overnight like we always do every year at my parents house. I roll over to get out of bed and go to use the bathroom. My family doesn't know our surprise yet. I make my way to use the washroom and when I am washing my hands I notice I feel a bit different. I look down at my stomach and lift my shirt. My belly is showing the tiniest bit. I smile and run back to the bedroom to Josh. "Josh! Josh! " I say waking him up. He is startled and sits right up "Whats wrong babe?" he asks concerned. "Nothing baby look!" I say "Feel" I add. He sees my stomach and smiles and rubs it. His eyes light up. Things finally got real. "Its our baby Colleen" he says teary eyed. I smile and kiss him. "I am so excited now" I say as he laughs at me. I throw a sweatshirt on and Josh and I make our way out to the living room. Everyone is slowly coming out of their rooms. Josh is making me a tea and getting himself a coffee. He sits down and joins me and puts his hand on my leg. I take a sip of my tea and instantly feel sick. I pass it to him and run to the washroom. Luckily my family are all grabbing drinks and food in the kitchen so they dont see me. I just make it to the bathroom as Josh runs behind me to close the bathroom door. I throw up like 8 times. I have tears coming down my face. Josh is rubbing my back and kissing my shoulders. "better?" he asks. "Much better. I hate throwing up but I guess I better get use to it for the next few weeks" I say.He helps me off the floor and I brush my teeth again.
Josh POV
Colleen and I are gonna try sitting down one more time. This time I pull her onto my lap as we sit on the couch. "Josh I cant smell your coffee it's turning my stomach" she says. So I put it far away from me and stop drinking it.I hug her tight and place my hands under her sweatshirt and rub her belly. Rachel is looking at us smiling. She has figured it out. She leans over and whispers. "Colleen we aren't touring past March 1st are we?" she asks. Colleen shakes her head no with a big smile. "Congrats...I love you guys" she whispers as Colleens parents are busy talking. I grab Rachels hand and say thank you to her. Colleen lays back on me and we all start opening presents. Finally Colleen passes her parents an envelope and a small box. They read the card and smile and then move onto the present.. Gwen unwraps it and inside is a beautiful picture frame with I LOVE MY GRANDMA AND GRANDPA written on the top. Inside where the picture will be says "Coming this July ". I watch their faces and Gwen immediately cries and hugs Tim who is equally emotional. They get up and hug us and ask Colleen about the due date etc. Colleen lifts up her shirt to show her mom her small belly. Gwen starts crying again. It was a fantastic moment.
That Christmas night we facetimed my parents and showed them all the gifts we got and Gwen stepped into the shot and said Merry Christmas to my parents. My mom and dad were talking to her for a bit and they asked Gwen to show them all the gifts she got from all of us kids. She held up item after item and then Gwen held up her favourite gift, the frame and my parents said "How wonderful...Chris and Jessica are having a fourth" my mom said. "No Lisa.....it isnt Chris" Gwen says and she smiles. My mom finally gets it as Colleen and I are smiling so big. "Joshua!!! Colleen!!! Oh my god I am so excited!" my mom says crying. My dad is hugging her to calm her down. "Mom....we will see you in a few days ok?" I say. We always fly out on the 27th to see my parents and family for New Years. A Christmas to remember.
