It's 7:00 am and Emily is getting ready for school. It's her first year at Burtonsville High since she got expelled from her last school.

She's starting 12th grade for the second year do to her failing miserably last year.

"Honey are you ready?! I have to drop your siblings off first."

Her mom calls from downstairs as she grabs her keys getting her camera ready to take her kids pictures.

"Yeah mom I'll be down in a minute." Emily finishes up her tad bit of make up and throws on her white vans.

Today she's wearing a white AC/DC t-shirt with black ripped jeans, along with her vans of course.

Her black silky hair is up in a messy bun. This is her second year so there isn't really a reason to dress nice knowing she'll probably fail again anyway.

"Hurry up Emily!" Her brother Kendrick yells from downstairs. He's in 10th grade along with her other brother Riley.

She has a little sister Nora. She's in 7th. And their dad.. well he died 6 years ago.

They all gather together to get their first day of school pictures, everyone except Emily smiles.

"Emily please at least try and smile." Her mom begs and so she does.

After her younger siblings were dropped off they arrive at Emily's new school.

"Well, here we are." Emily's mom smiles while putting the car in park.

"It's only going to be bad if you make it. Please behave this year sweetie I can't afford to move a second time this year."

"Yeah what ever, bye mom love you." Emily steps out the car and starts to head in.

Emily changed after her father died, she became angry and careless of how others feel.

She gets in trouble every chance she gets. It hurts her mother to see her behave this way, and she knows it.

But she just can't pull herself to do better. She walks to the front office greeted by the office lady.

"Hello, are you new sweetie?" As Emily begin to answer, she was interrupted.

"Emily?" She looks up and see's a tall boy with blonde hair. He stands there with a surprised look waiting on her response.

"Oh, Henry right?" "Yes! What are you doing here, I didn't think I'd ever see you again."

He laughs walking over to her giving her a small side hug. Henry and Emily were friends back in middle school but ended up growing apart.

They said hello here and there until they eventually stopped seeing each other.

"Yeah it's been a while.." The lady prints off Emily's schedule and hands it to her while the two kids catch up a little.

"Hey I can show you around if you want." "Yeah that'll be nice I guess."

The two walk out into a small hallway. The walls were painted dark blue and the carpet was black.

In the small hallway there were a few classrooms and what looks like a teachers lounge.

The two make their way to Emily's locker. "Ok well I have to get to homeroom before the bell rings, but this will be your locker and your homeroom will be down that hall."

He points east of the big hall. "And your homeroom teacher should be waiting outside the door so it should be easy to find."

He smiles. "Thanks. And how long is passing period?"

She asks looking around at the few kids in the hall. "8 minutes, but for us right now 2, so imma see you later maybe?"

He asks slowly backing away not wanting to be late. "Yeah maybe."

Emily turns around and puts in her combination. After putting her things in her locker she heads down the hall.

She turns and sees a bunch of kids in the hall talking with there friends.

"The bell is about to ring everyone needs to be in class now!"

A deep voice yells walking pass Emily, then stopping and turning around at the sight of her.

"Where are you supposed to be? You look lost." The man walks up to her.

He's tall and handsome, he has brown hair effortlessly combed to one side.

He's wearing a white dress shirt hugging the muscles and Abs of his body, and black dress pants.

She looks him up and down. "Ahem." "Oh uh." She looks down at her schedule spotting her homeroom teachers name and room number.

"Uhh in Mr. Heins room.. room 101" "Oh, that's me." His voice is stern, extremely sexy but she pushes those thoughts for later.

"Well can you show me where that is or something?"

"Pardon?" "I'm asking instead of being on my ass about where I'm supposed to be, maybe you could show me."

He lifts an eyebrow and his jaw clenches. "That is no way to speak to your teacher, especially on the first day. But since it is the first day, I'll let it slide. Follow me."

He turns around and she rolls her eyes following behind the man.

They arrive at his classroom and she chooses a seat near the back in a corner.

The bell rings and everyone hurry's to get seated as someone whispers "he's coming."

She watches in disgust and confusion as to why they're so scared.

"Good morning everyone. My name is Mr. Heins. Some of you may know me from last year when I taught 10th grade, or some of you may not. I am the History teacher and of course your homeroom teacher. I don't tolerate disrespect. So think before you make any type of move."

He goes on with his introduction and Emily looks around and spots a girl a row up on the right turned around.

She waves at her, and Emily waves back. She's confused and the girl can tell so she quickly gets up and moves to the empty seat next to Emily.

"Hi, you new?" "Uhh yeah.?" "Well my name is Christine but you can call me Tina."

The two shake hands awkwardly. "Sorry I'm not really used to properly greeting someone." "It's co-" "Lady's why are we talking?"

Mr. heins slowly walks up to where the girls are sitting. "Sor-"

"I specifically said I don't tolerate Disrespect, and talking when I am is extremely disrespectful. Am I going to have to write you two up on the first day already?"

He ask leaning on an empty desk in front of them. Emily decides not to respond.

But Tina does. "No sir, it won't happen again." "Good" He walks away eyeing Emily as he turns around.

'The fuck is his problem..' she thinks to herself while Mr. Heins finish's up his lesson. 'This is going to be a long year.'
