Phoebe's POV:

Hayden smacks across Liam's cheek once more and instantly his eyes shoot open, letting out a grunt at the contact. "Agh! What are you doing?"

"Making sure you're alive." She harshly remarked.

"I can't move my legs." He groaned as he tried to sit up but quickly stops his movements. "I-I think my back's broken."

I raise a brow. "Will it heal?"

"Eventually...I think."

"Good." Hayden interlaced my hand with hers and tugs for me to follow.

"Wait!" I stop in my tracks and turn around. "Where are you going?" Liam worriedly asked.

"To find my sister and make sure she's okay." Hayden answered, as if it was the most obvious thing ever.

He scoffed. "Are you gonna just leave me here?"

"You pulled us off a cliff. We're lucky we healed." She gestured to us.

"I saved your lives!" He argued, glancing between Hayden and I.

"This time." She emphasized before she tugged my hand. "Come on."

"Phoebe, please." He called out, causing me to stop in my footsteps again. "Who saved it last time?"

I glance behind me once more. "Theo." I mutter, hearing his heart jump in shock at the name before I pulled Hayden's hand to continue to walk, leaving Liam in the woods.

Allison's POV:

I step out of my car and see Parrish and Scott already waiting in front of the Beacon Hills Telecom site.

"Sorry, I had to help my dad with something." I spoke up as I approached the two.

"It's alright." Parrish unlocks his phone and hands it to Scott for him and I to see the video. "This is from the Relay Station's security camera."

In the footage it shows the side of the building with a work truck parked in the front but several seconds later, a large black creature with a black smokey trail leaps out of the building before sprinting off into the night.

Scott gulps. "That looked big."

Parrish grabs his phone back before shoving it into his pocket. "This was too fast for anyone to get a good look at it. You guys should already know what it is, don't you?"

"If I had a hunch," I glance behind us to the building from where the creature escaped. "there will be mercury inside to prove that we're dealing with another Chimera."

We follow Parrish through the same entrance and carefully walk down the steps inside, seeing that some of the wires were sliced in half and several crates splintered in half.

"You still got a black light?" I look down to Scott and see he was crouched down in front of the smeared puddle of blood that had a small label marked for evidence.

Parrish hands him the mini flashlight and once it shined on the blood, a wave of black smoke hovered over which caused my eyes to widen. "Mercury...guess that answered our question."

Scott nods as he shuts off the light. "Chimera."

"What was it doing here? Why come here and ruin some communications tech?" Parrish asked with his brows furrowed in confusion.

"Maybe it just likes to kill." I mumble, never taking my stares off of the puddle of blood, remembering the night of when I held Olivia in my arms inside the school. "Maybe it's what it does."
