Olivia's POV:
It's been five days ever since we got Phoebe and Hayden back. Five days of not seeing any new Chimeras and not seeing any of the Dread Doctors.
Five days of just...nothing.
However, from what I heard, Sheriff Stilinski was on the lookout for the rest of potential Chimeras and was discreetly having his deputies look into someone having two sets of DNA or just anything that tied with a genetic Chimera.
Within those days, I've been trying to sit down with Phoebe about her Chimera situation but she does whatever she can to avoid it by making up some random excuse to leave.
Before, she would have me take her to school but now she's been catching rides with either Mason, Liam, but most of the time it would be with Hayden.
It was like she couldn't be in the same room as me anymore...and I didn't know why.
Thankfully, Mason still talks to me by sending me occasional texts to let me know that Corey, Phoebe, and Hayden are doing okay. In fact, they're healing faster and getting stronger.
They didn't need our help anymore. Probably explains why she hasn't talked to me. It wasn't only her though.
My friends go to school, pretending like it never happened but just by walking in the halls, I feel the stares come from the random students that pass by me, whispering about what had happened with Tracy or about me just randomly ditching class to 'do things I'm not supposed to be doing' but in reality, I'm making sure other people didn't have to die.
But in the pit of my stomach, it felt like they knew what was going on. If you walked down the halls, you can see that no one's smiling, no one's laughing, almost as if they were expecting the worst to come but they don't know what it is or how bad it's going to be.
I would've talked to the rest of my friends about it but...it was like we were practically avoiding each other.
I mean, I sometimes still talked to Malia and Scott since we haven't seen each other much but for everyone else, it was the opposite.
I would say Kira too but she had to leave for a while since her fox spirit was out of control with what the Dread Doctors did to her. I'll admit, it did kind of hurt that she never said goodbye to me.
In all honesty, I don't think I would notice if any of my friends passed me in the hallway. Maybe some of us are okay with it since if we don't talk, it's easier to keep secrets and wouldn't have to worry about the other person.
It felt like I was reliving middle school without Cora all over again.
I think it's part of the reason why I haven't talked to Allison since that night. I'm assuming she asked Mrs. Finch if she could have a spot change since now the spot next to me was empty and she chose to sit next to Lydia in front of me.
It was obvious enough that she was still mad.
I guess the one thing everyone else agreed to was to lie to Sheriff Stilinski about Parrish being the one that was taking the bodies. But then again, no one told Parrish either since he didn't seem to remember taking the bodies in the first place.
We were pretty sure if you try to get in his way, you're just asking for a death wish. This brings it as to why we couldn't tell Sheriff because we knew he'd definitely get in his way.
"So...that's pretty much how Beacon Hills is right now." I softly chuckle as I rested my head against my steering wheel, not having moved from the driveway. "How's Paris?"
"Not as bad as Beacon Hills." I can hear Isaac chuckle. "I'm glad I didn't go back because I wouldn't have to deal with three dead dentists."
