Allison's POV:

Once I walk inside the backroom, my eyes widen at the sight of Hayden clutching onto her side with Phoebe next to her who was also holding onto her neck with a pained expression.

They had their backs pressed against the corner of the room ad from the looks of it, they weren't getting better.

Theo and Liam were crouched down beside them, staring at Scott who was standing in front of them with a hesitant expression. Almost as if Liam was waiting for Scott to do something.

"What's going on?" I questioned as I took a step closer to them.

"They're getting worse," Liam answered as he worriedly glanced between Hayden and Phoebe. "I think they're dying. Where's Olivia?"

"She...She had something to do." I lie and crouch down to their level, pressing the back of my hand against Phoebe's cheek and my eyes widen, feeling that her temperature was getting higher. "Oh god."

Theo turned to me. "It's got to be some kind of mercury poisoning."

"Scott, remember what you promised me." Liam stammered as he looked at Scott. "You said you'd do everything you could to save them. If they're real werewolves, you could save them."

Phoebe lets out a pained groan and a drop of mercury spills from her nose but she shakily wipes it away. "I-It hurts." She spoke as Hayden let out a few whimpers.

"You gotta give them the bite!" Liam worriedly exclaimed which caused my eyes to widen.

I look to Scott, unsure of what he would say about this. Judging by his expression, he didn't know either. "Scott?"

It was silent for a few moments until he finally locked eyes with Liam.

"No."

Liam stood up from his spot and walked over to Scott with an annoyed expression. "What do you mean no?"

"Liam, look at them." Scott softly answered as Liam glanced behind to the girls who wore pained expressions. "They're too weak. It'll kill them. We don't even know what the mercury's doing to them. We don't even know if it's mercury. This can't be the only way to save their life."

"It saved mine." Liam glared.

"You know, that was...different. You were hanging off a ledge." Scott stammered.

"You promised." Liam took a step closer to him and I quickly stand to my feet, making sure to stand in between them. "You said you'd do everything you could." He raised his voice but I push Liam to take a step back.

"Liam, relax." I whisper and glance to Scott, giving him a knowing look. "Scott, he might be on to something. What if this is the only way?"

"No. I'm not going to do something I think would kill them." He sternly stated before his breath started to waver. "There has to be..." He struggled to breathe which caused my eyes to widen. "There has to...to..."
