CHAPTER SEVEN;
• MAFIA ISN'T THAT BAD •

"and you didn't hurt them?" el asks slowly as she raises an eyebrow in confusion.

"did you want me to?" hopper asks, "i could go back. i'm sure they'll love that."

she shakes her head quickly as he nods, "exactly."

"never knew you would listen though." she mutters.

"i just don't understand why you didn't fight back. we both know you're fully capable of doing so." he says as she puts a huge spoon of ice cream in her mouth.

he gives her a face telling her to slow down as she nods, "it's hard to explain." she says quietly.

"then i'll try my best to understand." he sighs.

"my hatred for them is kinda over the roof, it's like a lot and i was scared that if i do hit them back i wouldn't have been able to stop. i have seen it happen before, one thing leads to another and then everyone's dead on the floor." she sighs with a small shrug.

"you've seen it happen?" he asks in shock.

she nods, "one day my f-father- he had these men over. he hated them and when they talked the got into an argument. he got really mad and punched one of them and before i know it, everyone was bleeding out in the living room."

"it was my fault really though, i shouldn't have been curious and looked." she mutters, "there was a lot of blood."

"where was your brother? wouldn't he have dragged you back to your room." he asks, scooping some of her ice cream.

she shoots him a quick glare, "he was out training, mama went with him to see his progress. i was supposed to go too but lady problems."

"i'm guessing you threw a tantrum so they let you not go?" he teases with a laugh.

she gasps, "h-hey! i'm not that bad when i'm on the time of the month stuff." she huffs loudly at his comment.

"oh you're terrible. very moody, tantrums after tantrums, always eating ice cream, crying at the tv-"

"okay that's it. i get it, okay? now can we go out, i hate staying in this stuffy cabin all day." she rolls her eyes.

"where do you wanna go then?" he asks.

she grins, "go skate with me."

"oh hell no, i can't skate. i can watch you skate but i will not skate with you." he shakes his head quickly and denies.

"hop, come on! please!" she begs, tugging on his arm as he continues to shake his head.

"dad..." she pouts cutely as he sighs and rolls his eyes.

"fine." he gives in as she smiles widely.

"yay! i'm going to get ready!" she shoves him the tub of ice cream before running to her room.

she changes into a white floral hook and eye milkmaid top along with a matching mini skirt.
