Chapter 9

Batchmate

Their one-day plan for the business convention had been adjusted due to some investors. Gulf was trying to calm himself down when Mew left him in their large suite to attend a breakfast meeting. He was still naked, lying on their bed with his wrinkled brows. He was about to arch his back when he felt his soreness. Mew did not let him sleep last fucking night, even they were both all tired from the event.

He forced himself to get up, even he was feeling worst. He just slept for thirty minutes after the mind-blowing shag. The mess last night were all gone. Probably, Mew did not want to let him clean for them. When he reached the kitchen, he smirked when he saw newly cooked foods on the table. But the joy in him quickly vanished when he saw a note.

“Will take 8 hours away from you, babe. I got some problem here with my annoying batch mate. Sorry, sorry. I didn't wanna take you with me, coz u know I'm possessive. Be mad when I'm back. I love you.” — Mew

WTF?! Did he just lie to me about the investors?, Gulf thought. He was profusely growling in anger when he dialed his brute's number. It was ringing, but eventually did not pick the call-up. He heaved a deep breath and let a frustrated sigh.

“Fine! Gonna enjoy this day without you, moron!” he said, gritting his teeth.

Like a kid, stomping his feet very hard while doing all his stuff was all he did. Even how tall his pride was, he could not just deny the fact that he missed him. Yes, how annoying. They were together, but he was always missing him. He could not just get enough of him. Why was he feeling like an abandoned puppy?

His irritation had gone with the wind when his phone beeped. Gulf thought it was Mew, but an unknown number popped on his screen instead.

“Yes? Who's this?”

“OH GOD, love? Where are you? Why aren't you going home yet? You're still with Mew, right?”

He bit his tongue after formulating an answer in his head.

“Calm down, Sire. I'm still with Mew. We'll be back tomorrow, okay? Don't worry too much.”

He tried his voice not to sound annoyed, but a woman can sense everything. Gulf shut his eyes, their trip was not relaxing anymore.

“No, I'm not annoyed. Please, Sire. Gonna put this down. I promise we'll be back at 10 in the morning.”

He hanged up and leaned against the glass frame. He felt shitty after talking to his wife. God knows how he really wanted to tell her the truth, but there were too complicated reasons holding him back. They have been together for past 7 years. But how long could they hide from their wives?

He shrugged the thought and decided to go down. There were too many lovers walking around when he came out from the hotel. It was making him feel alone. He was absentmindedly walking when he felt a pang of pain on his knee.

“Hey!” someone shouted.

“Huh?”

A man materialized in front of him. A horror was tainted on the man's face while looking something on his legs. He also looked down and saw that his knee was bleeding too much.

“Can't you feel it?” the man went up to him while giving him a look. He weirded out.

Gulf had already felt the pain when the man helped him to sit on the bench. He saw the sharp metal that he did not see awhile ago. It was his fault that he got a stupid laceration. He walked on the wrong side.

“Hey, this will be painful, but I'm sure you'll be fine.”

He did not realize that the man left him a while ago and came back holding a first aid kit. He also noticed the blonde hair and the evident paleness of the man in front of him, gently treating his wound.

“Done checking me out?”

Gulf went back from his thoughts and quickly sported a frown at him. What? Checking him out?, he asked himself sarcastically.

“Excuse me? Of course not! I just find you… Uhh… How can I say this? Pale?” He hesitated to tell him that.

He chuckled. “Did you mean paler than usual?”

Gulf nodded unsure.

He also sat beside Gulf after dressing up the wound. Gulf moved inches away from him before clearing out his throat.

“I'm Gulf. Thank you for helping me.” He was the first one to crack the ice between them.

The man looked at him too. He was really a pale human being, Gulf thought.

“You are welcome. And please — stop giving me that look. I'm Win and I have an albinism since I was born.”

Gulf's mouth formed an 'O' and nodded. He stared at Win once again, then gave him a thumb's up.

“You are beautiful.” he truthfully stated.

Win just laughed at his compliment.

“Thanks. You are the second one to tell me that.”

Gulf smiled with curiosity. His sissy attitude was coming back like a whirlwind.

“Hmm. Who's the first one, though? Someone special?”

“My boyfriend.” Win gave him a gentle smile. Like he was pleased with his life.

Gulf nodded while smiling too. He knew the feeling, but theirs were much more complicated.

“Where is he?” he asked again, curiously.

Win was about to answer him, but the man tilted his head and waved his hand for someone.

“He's here!” he sharply whispered.

Gulf nodded and turn his back to see who was it, and he saw a man on his diver suit. Another one followed that made him palpitated in annoyance.  It was not the time to curse, even though he just saw his brute smiling with Win's boyfriend.

He remained his scary face, and it was exactly when Mew found his eyes that made the brute jumped in surprise. Mew panicked and immediately went up to him, still wet from the sea.

“Bro, is he the one you were talking about?” the tall smexy guy asked Mew. It was Win's boyfriend because Gulf just saw them held hands.

Mew nodded, smiling at the two and glancing at him as well. Gulf was fighting with himself. He had to know why Mew lied or what.

“This is my lovely Gulf, Bright.” Mew sounded so possessive.

The gentleman named Bright just chuckled and punched Mew's shoulder playfully.

“Stop it, dude. I have my precious buffalo here with me.” he lovingly smiled at Win, who glanced at them timidly.

Gulf was about to smile when something strucked to him. What about—

“What's wrong?” his brute asked him.

“I-Is he aware about… our situation?” he nervously asked Mew in a low tone.

They heard someone cleared his throat. It was Bright with his playful grin.

“Do not worry, bro. I'm with you both. Right, love?” he asked Win.

Win smiled cutely and nodded in response. “Of course.”

Mew laughed with them but immediately shut up whe he felt the piercing stares given by Gulf.

"Uh-oh? We gotta go, bro! See you around!" Bright and Win exited so fast.

Gulf deadass stared at him . "And now..."
