"I'm so tired," Taehyung muttered when he finally reached his office and immediately plopped himself into the couch. The soft surface of the backrest of the seat gave his neck the relaxation he needs.

He's been very busy today, mainly because of Jennie's absence which means that there is no one to assist him and he should do his job all on his own. The excuse she gave him was also very lame. She said that she has an errand to do outside the city and didn't even elaborate on the 'errand' she's talking about.

All he knows is that his sister and Chaeyoung are together with her, which can put his mind at ease. Tsk, if only she didn't have a special connection with him, he would never allow her to be absent, especially now that the company is getting busier than ever because the year almost ends. They had to finish all the undone works throughout the year and that exhausts him, his hands were becoming numb because of the massive pile of papers he signed.

He was so close to dozing off but the abrupt ringing of his phone woke his senses. In a few minutes, it's gonna be midnight, and who the fuck would call at this very late hour?

With a groan, he carelessly grabbed his phone and pressed the answer button, not even caring to see who it was.

"Who's this?" He did not greet whoever it is on the other line and raised a question instead with his eyes closed,

"Hey," hearing her voice, Taehyung shoot his eyes open as he looked who the caller is, "are you okay?" she inquired hearing his irked voice

"Jen? Uh, yeah I'm fine- just a little stressed," His voice became soft when he answered, leaning his head more on his phone, "I miss you," he muttered.

When he heard giggles from the other line, his lips unconsciously curved upwards. He loved hearing her voice, especially her laughs and he's more than pleased to know that he caused her smiles and laughs.

"I was just gone for a few hours, don't be dramatic."

"Yeah, so? I still missed you." There he goes again with his flirty behavior —which never fails to make Jennie's heart flutter.

"Whatever, anyway, where are you?" The brunette quickly changed the subject because her heart rate is going too fast, she's afraid she might get a heart attack just because of his lines.

"Work." He snorted. Just the thought of the several tasks he did already drains his energy and there's still a lot to be done the next day.

"Oh, are you finished?"

"Hm," he hummed in response, "I was about to take a nap when you called."

"Oh God I'm so sorry, do you want me to hang up now o-"

"No, don't," he cut her off, " I want to hear your voice, it reduces every mount of tiredness I have in my body." Again, her heart fluttered and butterflies were swarming in her stomach.

"Can you stop that? I'm being serious here," she faked annoyance to cover her flushness while the boy on the other line grinned widely, knowing that he still has that effect on her, "I have something to ask you."

"What is it?"

"Can I sleep over at your house? Me, your sister and Chaeyoung watched a horror movie earlier and I can't sleep alone. Just for tonight, please?" Her voice was hopeful as she spoke.

"Is that the 'errand' you're talking about? Going to the movies? You left me here for movies?" He ranted.

Normally, he would immediately agree if she asks these kinds of questions because for the past months, he's been encouraging her to move in with him but the brunette barely cares, saying that "we're not together so why would you invite me to move in with you?"
