aftermath

Jennie squealed loudly as soon as she entered her apartment. She leaned on the wooden door, touching her warm cheeks and her lips that she used to give him a kiss.

It makes her crazy. He's making her crazy.

Butterflies were swarming on her stomach while her heart was thumping super loud that if you get close to her, you can slightly hear the vibration and the thumping sound on her chest.

She closed her eyes as she leaned her head against the door and recalled their very first date. All the happenings sent different feelings to her; thrill, adrenaline, excitement and joy. She felt all of that when she was with him.

It was like she's in a different world when she's with him. Their own little world. Just the two of them enjoying each others company and presence without thinking other things and just focus on themselves.

Funny that this is still their first date, first step for him to prove his feelings towards her. There's still a lot more to come but she already feels so sure about him. the barrier she made to protect herself from getting hurt melted into pure liquid when she finally opened up and started acknowledging him and his feelings for her.

Jennie was still lost in her thoughts when a loud voice flared throughout the area where she is standing,

"Oh my God! You're back!" Chaeyoung shrieked then proceeded on shaking the brunette's body.

"Please tell me what happened, " the younger begged, noticing the wide grin and the red cheeks Jennie has.

"Chaeee~ " Jennie sang, pinching the younger's chubby cheeks before she left her on the door as she danced her way through the kitchen to get a glass of water while humming an unspecified melody.

Chaeyoung was left there dumbfounded due to Jennie's actions but soon replaced with a satisfied smirk. She sprinted towards the living room where her phone is located in one of the sofas before following the elder who's in the kitchen.

But she stopped her steps midway when she heard Jennie giggling. Slowly, she walked to a secluded corner and peeked through the kitchen only to see the so-called 'ice-queen' smiling shyly as she ducked her head, talking to someone on her phone and I bet you all know who it is :)

Without any second thoughts, Chaeyoung quickly snapped a picture before she quietly tiptoed out of the area. She entered into her bedroom to send the photo she got to Jimin while beaming ear to ear. She also sent the photo to Lisa and asked about her own date with Jeon Jungkook but the girl didn't respond, unlike Jimin who immediately texted back the moment she sent the image.

'I guess she's still enjoying her date, '. She smiled at the thought. She is so happy for both of her friends already having partners in their lives plus, playing cupid with Jimin to the couples only adds to her satisfaction.

I should tell them to name one of their kids after me since I was one of the reasons why they're together in the first place. She grinned, imagining her future nieces named 'Chaeyoung. '

" uh, good night," she mumbled, her voice coming out muffled because of her hands that were on her mouth, trying to contain her smile.

"Sweet dreams Jen. See you tomorrow, bye!" He replied before she pressed the red button and then squealed loudly. It hasn't been a while since he dropped her off and he already called.

she's already in her room, dressed in her favourite pajama dress as she freed her hair from the confines of the hair tie, ready to sleep but when she plopped her self on her comfy bed, she can't seem to sleep.

her mind keeps wandering what happened a few hours ago. she can't get over their first date. the way he held her tiny hands, the way she fit into his embrace perfectly and their faces when they k-

"oh my God! I'm going crazy!" she muttered as she shoot her eyes open. she can't sleep, not when images of him keeps playing on her mind so she did what she think is the right thing to do: drink milk.

Jennie walked her way back to the kitchen to prepare the milk. on her way there, she strolled on any of her social media feed that catches her attention until a message from a certain someone popped out on the notifications of her phone.

'hi jen! may I ask why are you still online?"

she's definitely not gonna sleep. not tonight. when he keeps on bugging her entire being.

that morning when Jennie woke up, she had to deal the headache as a result of lack of sleep. she sat up from her bed and checked her phone that is placed on the night stand to check the ti- 8:15!

her eyes widen as she started at her phone in horror. its already 8:15 in the morning, she only have 45 minutes left to prepare!

the realisation hit her like a bag of rocks. her pillow and blanket that was draped on her body flew over the room as she sprung herself up to go in action.

jennie cried out as if she was in the worst stage of her life and ran into her bathroom, stripping her clothes as she went. how is she supposed to look good in 45 minutes!? her vocabulary turned into only swear of words as she rushed to look presentable on her work.

she ate the pancake served on the kitchen—cooked by Chaeyoung— and  without any second thoughts, she stormed out of their apartment and hailed a taxi to go to Kim Eternity. she learned that Chaeyoung is already there, noticing the very tidy and quiet quarters which does not usually happen.

she got on her workplace right in time, 9:00 am. Chaeyoung's loud voice welcomed her when she entered their office, beaming from ear to ear as if she didn't do anything dreadful on her.

"why did you left me? why didn't you woke me upp?!" jennie whined, settling herself on her chair.

"because I know that you still need more time to sleep and I don't want to handle your grumpy ass if I wake you up, " she responded, her lips slowly curling upwards as she gazed at her from head to toe.

what?

"and your room is locked."

oh.

she totally forgot that she did lock her room last night, afraid that Chaeyoung will barge in and saw the cringy deeds she did. Jennie can't endure the teasings she'll get if ever Chaeyoung did saw it.
