first date

Taehyung stood outside her apartment with a bouquet of roses in his trembling hands. He was dead nervous, this is his first date after all plus, recalling Jennie snapping at him only adds to the anxiety he's feeling.

Earlier this afternoon, he unexpectedly stumbled upon Jennie and Chaeyoung going out from the cafeteria. Of course, he smiled and decided to greet.

"Hi Jen, Chae!" He cheerfully said while the other employees that surround them widen their eyes when they heard what the CEO addressed the designers and Chaeyoung didn't miss it.

Some of the staffs in Kim Eternity are certainly curious about what's the relationship between the CEO and the designers, from the way they treat and address each other.

"Hi Mr Kim," Chaeyoung responded, "um, aren't we gaining a big amount of attention if we talk here" she added in a whisper uneasily, getting embarrassed about the attention they are getting.

"No, it's okay, I won't take long anyway, " he assured, "Uhm, don't forget our date later Jen, hm?" then he turned to Jennie who was glaring at him.

"Date? What date?" Then there's Chaeyoung, eyes and ears perked up when she heard what he said.

"I didn't agree though, " Jennie replied, ignoring Chaeyoung's tug on her denim shirt.

When Jennie replied, the situation finally dawned Chaeyoung and started comprehending everything; they are going on a date! Chaeyoung's mood lit up at the thought but quickly frowned when she saw Jennie glaring at him.

Did something bad happen? She asked herself as she remembered Jennie sulking when she went back to the room with Lisa earlier.

The blonde-haired Chaeyoung noticed her boss' face fell when Jennie responded while Taehyung regretted toying and teasing her earlier, now, with Jennie declining his offer he thought of all his efforts and preparations went to waste.

Jennie's gaze shifted away from his' and moved to the girl beside her, "Let's go, Chae," She said and didn't even wait for her to reply and walked away, his gaze following her every step.

Once she was out of sight, Chaeyoung immediately faced her boss and muttered, "Don't worry, the date is on. I'll convince her to come." Chaeyoung winked and instantly, Taehyung's complexion lit up, gratefulness was evident on his face while he looked at Chaeyoung, "thank you so much, Chae."

"Opps, " Chaeyoung called out, "that's not by the way. " She added and crossed her arms.

"Okay, just tell me what you want in return, " Taehyung told her and that was enough for a high smile creeping on Chaeyoung's face.

"A simple dinner is enough, " she said.

"Okay, I'll tell Lisa to accompany you." Taehyung declared as Chaeyoung beamed a genuine smile at the thought of free food. Taehyung also made a note to never, ever annoy, kiss or touch her without her authorization to avoid these kinds of incidents. he wasn't aware that he's already being insensitive.

That's why he's here in front of their shared quarter with a determined spirit. He checked himself first, wanting to be presentable when facing her. He fixed his hair and shirt before deciding to ring the bell. Once he did, he waited patiently while tapping his foot to the floor to at least, reduce the uneasiness he's feeling.

His breath hitched when the door creaked open revealing a poker-faced Jennie and a smiley Chae. His eyes lit up when he saw her. She was wearing high-waist skinny jeans, a silk camisole covered with a black blazer, and a pair of heels while he was wearing his casual white longsleeves that hugged his biceps so well, black properly-ironed trousers and a brown leather shoes.
