what is she doing?

Jennie was not even surprised to see him there. She already had the hunch of who it's gonna be and she's right. Receiving something from the same number is not new for her, in fact, she's been receiving it for a couple of months now yet this is the only time she agreed to it.

Her face was dead serious as she took a seat in front of him, completely ignoring his annoying gaze and crossed her arms over her chest.

"What do you need?" Her voice was harsh as ever and her eyes was sending invisible daggers at him.

Jiyong was surprised. The expression on his face says it all; wide eyes and a slightly opened mouth. He never imagined that she will show up after those past months of complete rejection that's why he's looking at her as if she's not real, finding it so hard to believe that she's now right there sitting in front of him.

"Are you just gonna sit there or what?" Her tone was dripped with sarcasm as she took a sip of the cola that was served.

"Uh..." Jiyong was thinking of some appropriate words to say because he's literally still in shock right now. The words he had memorized was forgotten when she showed up,

"long time no see." He settled for the simplest phrase his mind came up with while flashing her a very weird smile.

Jennie did not give any reaction over it, her face was blank as she gazed at the dish served in front of him up to his face.

"Is that it?" She picked the chopstick placed beside her plate and started picking some foods that caught her attention, "is that the only reason why you want me to be here?"

She changed, that was the first thought that appeared to his mind after a few moments of looking and observing at her. From her looks to her sarcastic remarks, there is no doubt that after a year of not seeing her, Jennie changed.

"Uh, I just wanna say that I'm happy of what have you become today and-"

"You could have said that to me through text." She rolled her beautiful cat eyes and faced him, "Look Jiyong, I'm sick looking at your face right now so you better tell me what you were about to say because I'm not planning on staying here longer, I still have a lot of things to do so don't waste my time."

He was taken aback at her words. This is actually the first time he encountered this side of her so it's very surprising.

Silence came a few moments after. None of them spoke nor look at each other after her remarks and it's making her annoyed. She didn't come here for this.

"Are-"

"I'm sorry." Jiyong immediately uttered before her and looked down, "I know I did wrong and I want to ask forgiveness for it." He added.

Jennie remained glued to her seat, speechless. He seemed very genuine about his apology and it's scaring her. Her mind was a mess plus the fact that she's not completely sober adds up her worries.

"I want you to know that I regretted doing that and it's been a year, I hope you can forgive me." There, he finally said it. After those countless refusals of meeting him from her, he didn't imagine that he could finally say those words to her.

He was waiting anxiously for her reply; fumbling his hands until-

"It's okay." Her voice was no longer harsh as she spoke, "I guess it's bound to happen." She added with nonchalance as she ate the piece of steak.

"If we look at the brighter side, that break up did many positive things to me," she smiled, "I got a lot of job offers but I settled as a secretary, I improved myself and my skills, I gained a lot of friends and..." Her voice became slower until she trailed off. She was about to proclaim her relationship with Taehyung but she remembered what happened earlier at Kim Eternity.

She gave him a side smile and continued to munch the steak when someone from behind grabbed her wrist. She immediately stood up causing the table to almost stumble —but Jiyong got a hold of it so it didn't— and was about to fight back to whoever this thick-faced person who interrupts her eating but she turned mute when she saw who it was.

It's him, Kim Taehyung.

"Who's s this guy and what are you doing here with him?"  He asked just enough for her to hear as he took a glance at Jiyong who was now also standing.

"Uh, excuse me but I think it's very rude of you to do that to her." Jiyong butt in, looking at Jennie's wrist that was held tightly by Taehyung.

"Who are you?" He asked as soon as he didn't get a response from her and ignored his words but he did loosen his grip because he realized that he's being too much. He doesn't even know who this guy is, it could be one of her friends.

"My name is Kwon Jiyong."  Taehyung's ears rang when he responded. He shot him a final glance and turned to Jennie who was facing down.

"Oh, nice to meet you. I'm Kim Taehyung and I think I need to get her home because it's late already." Taehyung said in his calm voice even though he was already raging inside. He doesn't want to gain attention and do something stupid that can affect his image.

"May I know what is-" Jiyong didn't have a chance to finish what he was about to say because Taehyung dragged Jennie and stormed out of the place. He must leave because he's losing his cool the longer he stays there.

Well, who wouldn't? She's meeting her ex!

"Let go of me!" Jennie tried to detach herself from his grip when he dragged her through the dark area of the parking lot.

"What do you think you're doing!?" He finally released her wrist and asked her, massaging his temples in the process.

"Why are you here and why did you drag me out of there?! Can't you see I'm talking to someone!?" She ignored his question and asked him instead.

"You don't answer a question with another question so tell me, what are doing here and why are you with him?" He repeated and leaned his back onto the wall. He already had enough problems for today and he doesn't want to argue with her but how could he? He can't just let this pass.

"I came to talk to him."
