[Jae Lim]

It was kind of awkward in the room while granny was patching me up, digging into my wound for the bullet like a madman. I was lucky she numbed the area before she dug into my arm. Now, I had to wear some stupid sling so that my arm could heal properly. Granny's words, not mine.

Not only that, but those two idiots and Jihoon were hovering around me like I was some kind of infant that couldn't get around without any help or supervision.

I shoved my right arm out, pushing them away. "I can't even breathe! You've been hovering around me since we left the infirmary! Go away!"

"No can do, kitten," Xunan shook his head and reached over to pat mine. I smacked his hand away and he gave me another one of those looks. "We left you for less than a day and look what happened, you got shot."

"I didn't know there was another person on the other side of the fucking building, ok? I thought I got them all after everyone crowded to the front. It's not my fault he decided to show up after I took care of those guys." I glared at him.

Qi whipped his head around. "Wait, you took out all these guys?"

"Yes. I thought we already went over that," I deadpanned. I turned over to Jihoon. "What are we doing now?"

"I've got to ask Guanlin about the location, but we're going to move to a safer place to stay. We're going to have to cut down on the amount of people we have with us though. It'll probably just be us, Sheng and Jiao, and Auntie Zhi."

Jihoon stopped to talk to another guy whose eyes flickered over to me. I glared right back as his eyes shifted to my arm, then to my face, before finally looking back at Jihoon.

"Just take their bodies over to the back until we decide how to dispose of them." He patted the other guy on his back and ushered him away before returning to my side.

"What's up with him?" My narrow eyes followed his back as he walked away.

"What do you mean?" His face contorted into one of confusion, looking behind him at where I was glaring. "Are you talking about Shin?"

"I couldn't care less what his name it. Next time, tell him to keep his eyes to himself," I growled out. "He kept looking over at me like he had a problem. If he's got a problem, he should just tell me to my face.

"I'm sure he didn't mean anything by it," Jihoon tried to shake it off. The feeling of unease didn't let up as we continued walking through the building. "I need you to go and pack up your stuff. We'll be moving in a day or two."

I guess it's goodbye to my room. Shame.

"Jihoon, if you leave them with me alone again in that car, I'm going to kick them out of the car so that they can walk the rest of the way," I growled out.

My head was pounding from the car ride I had to deal with while on the way to the airport. We were walking towards our flight, about to reach security. I was lucky to have my passport from my flight from Korea to here. I was walking alongside Jihoon at the moment and Qi and Xunan were trailing behind us with Jihoon's guards.

Jihoon laughed at me. "What did they do? They play some super annoying pop music from the radio or did they not leave you alone the entire ride?"

"Xunan was pretty much talking off my ear the entire ride. He uses these cringy names 24/7 and I'm this close to permanently damaging my eardrums so that I don't have to listen to him saying that."
