[Jae Lim]

It was finally D-day. This week had been going by too slowly for my liking because I wanted to hurry up and carry out this execution and give noona the throne she deserves. I stood around the ring, checking the small watch on my wrist for the time again.

"Stop checking your watch like it's going to go any faster," Noona chided from the opposite side of the ring, not looking away from the explosive she was working on installing. "Now go outside and check the perimeter and call Valeriya. She's going to be late."

"You got it, boss." I gave her a salute that she would know of even if she didn't look and walked out of the ring and out into the dirt road leading out of the entrance of the metal building.

Pulling out my burner phone, I clicked to her contact and held the phone to my ear, listening to the dial tone. The dial tone continued ringing until the voicemail message spoke. My body tensed up and I began to think of everything that could happen to her while her family was dealing with a conflict and she was alone in a foreign country where people had connections to god knows where. Quickly, I redialed her phone and this time, she picked up the phone.

"Hello?" Her voice was even-toned as if she didn't see the contact name that must've shown up when I called.

"Where the fuck are you?" I was quick to question her, anxiety seeping out of my body and converting into annoyance. "You didn't pick up the phone the first time so I thought someone got to you and now, you aren't even answering like you usually do. What the fuck is wrong with you? You're going to be fucking late! Get your ass over here!"

There was a thud on the other side of the phone but it was still silent and I narrowed my eyes. "What was that?"

"Nothing, darling." She tried sweet-talking her way out of it as if that would work on me. "I had to stop on a little errand for myself. I'm on the way!"

"What fucking errands are you doing that you aren't even here yet? This should be your top priority since you're not here for business!" I huffed through the phone, finding myself gripping it a little too hard that the sound of a crack forming had me releasing some tension to calm myself down. "It's almost time for god's sake!"

"Don't worry yourself, darling. It's important for me to take care of things where I am, too."

"Don't give me that shi—"

"See you, darling!" She cut me off before hanging up.

This fucking... When she gets here, I'm beating her damn ass.

I walked back into the ring, checking my watch again to see that 11 minutes had passed since the last time I checked.

"Where is she? What's taking her so long?"

"She said she was running an errand before this. Said she's on her way here." I shook my head, glancing over at noona when I heard her click her tongue in disappointment.

I made my way up the metal stairs and to the private elevated ledge where an elaborate red and golden chair sat. I was sure it would gleam just like a gem when the light would shine on it. Scattered throughout were wooden boxes, some half-opened while others were completely without a top, and most importantly, were filled with all the killing force we needed for the night. Making sure all the guns were already loaded for quick access to shooting, I moved over to the edge of the balcony-like area where a sniper was set up and ready for action.

The metal door to the ring opened with a loud squeal but I knew that noona was still working on the explosive. Without hesitation, I grabbed the sniper into my hands and pointed it to the team of five people who walked in dressed in all black and in differing animal black masks that covered either all or most of their face, the same attire we had on for tonight. I gave them a warning shot right in front of the leader's foot, making them stop in their tracks.
