[Jae Lim]
So maybe taking all those shots made my line of thought a little poor because how the fuck did I end up forgiving Valeriya for her shit?
I could remember the beginnings of our conversation clearly where she started spouting some random shit about me "being a different person" or some shit, but then I started talking about them using her? What the fuck? They mutually used each other for their own gain and here tipsy me was, claiming Valeriya was innocent of her decisions?
Fuck that.
I wasn't planning on including her in anything and I would be sure to tell Noona that.
Except, maybe I should've told her that before I found Valeriya outside the office right when I was going to walk in for the day.
"What the fuck are you loitering around out here for?" I scowled when she pulled me back by my arm. Ripping my arm from her grasp, I turned around to face her with a not-so-pleasant look on my face. "You don't have to dislocate my shoulder to get my attention. What do you want?"
I was almost positive she was confused because it showed all over her dumb face. "I thought we were good? What's up with you?"
"You talked to tipsy Jae. Sober Jae doesn't condone what tipsy Jae does or says." My face was completely void of any positive emotion. My attitude would probably fit in with a funeral right now. "So no, we're not good. Now if you'll excuse me..."
I tried to brush past her and into the building so that I could get to the work waiting on me, but she shoved her arm out in an attempt to stop my movement.
"Come on, Jae. You said that if the triads had anything to do with you, they should've said it to your face. I'm here cause they're trying to talk to you. I think it'd be a good idea to hear them out."
"It's a shame you're not in a position where you can advise me about that stuff anymore, isn't it?" I sneered at her from where I stood. "Stop taking my words from when I was under the influence seriously. If I wanted to talk to them, I would've already talked to them, so get your nose out of my fucking business. If you try to fucking do some stunt like at The Ring, I won't hesitate to eliminate you. Or do you need me to say it in Russian so you'll understand? Because obviously, something isn't clicking for you."
She must've been stunned silent because her mouth hung open like a fish waiting to be fed with a stupid look on her face. With that, I turned around and didn't bother looking back when leaving her alone on the steps of the building. She would be glad that I didn't call the cops to arrest her for loitering around here.

I spent my day busy dealing with the internal affairs of the corporation that was headed by the Haneul Family Head, or in other words, the head of the underground family in Korea. There were plenty of normal office workers employed by us in the main branch of our corporation and we didn't encourage overtime working, so it meant that by the time I was the one heading out of the office, there was essentially no one left in the building—save for the janitorial services that made themselves sparse in the presence of others.
The office was already dark, and Noona told me that she would be out of the office from noon and afterward. I tried to follow her, but she told me she would take Team B with her since it was Team A's rotation for security outside and inside the building. I wanted to ask her what she was doing after noon, assuming she was going out for lunch and maybe some other work, but she told me to reschedule the board meeting that was supposed to take place today at 2. Maybe she wanted to get some rest. She had been pushed really hard with taking the Chairwoman's seat.
