[Jae Lim]

"Noona, you need to get ready for your meeting with the full board. It starts at noon. We also have to talk about reviving the Haneul Business. You'll have a press conference later today about taking over and then you'll be done," I reported to noona as she lay in her bed, eyes still closed.

She gave me a sigh and nodded. "I can't wait until you take over, Jae."

The side of my lips twitched. "Unfortunately, I think you'll have to deal with this for a little longer than you expected." I tugged at her blanket, pulling it off so she would get up. "Now come on, you've got to get ready. I already let you sleep in."

"It was five minutes. That doesn't even count." She grumbled, even though she was already moving to go shower. Taking that as my cue to leave the room and wait by her door, I waited until she finished getting ready for the day, welcoming her with breakfast on the table and the transport car outside.

I sat beside her in the back of the car, handing her a black folder that she immediately began skimming through. "This is all the information that I've gathered—well, collected and considered essential for you to know—on all of the branch heads. The newest ones are at the front, the ones who have been here longer and with Yeseul are towards the back with information tracking their movements and communications."

She hummed, her sign that she was paying attention to me while reading through the papers. I noted the area around us as the car drove us to the Haneul Co. building.

Through the earpiece, I sent out my message. "The Throne is arriving at the building. Be prepared to escort her and stop the media from getting closer. Team A, you're helping escort. Team B and Team C, secure the media."

When I received the messages of approval and felt the car come to a stop, I got out of the car, reminding noona to remain in the car until I opened the door for her. Everywhere around us, cameras were flashing, the sound of shutters going crazy, the clamoring of people against our security details, the sound of muffled questions trying to reach us.

"Where has the previous CEO gone?"

"What's happened to President Haneul?"

"Have you heard anything regarding President Haneul?"

"Who is this? Are they replacing President Haneul or are you just a stand-in?"

Team A was already awaiting noona's car door while I walked around. Opening the door for noona to step out in her black suit, the roar of reporters grew and we were quick to escort her inside where the sound was instead replaced with the many greetings of workers for the Corporation who didn't even know of our underground connections.

"They should already be placed in Conference Room 3. Your papers have been prepared and are waiting for you in the small room connected to the Conference Room."

Noona grinned at me and turned my way, reaching to pinch my cheek. "How reliable. I'll treat you to a meal at the end of the week. How does that sound?"

"Your wallet will have a hole in it if you keep doing this," I retorted with a small grin. "If you get your paperwork for the week done, then I'll take you up on it."

We arrived at the Conference Room and I opened the door for her, picking up the files while I was at it and closing the door only after she entered. Noona took her spot at the head of the table.

"I hope you will all cooperate with the safety precautions before we begin." Her playful demeanor from earlier faded and left behind her business-only side. She waved towards me who would end up conducting both searches.
